MAGA, Inc., the super PAC linked to President Donald Trump, has made its first major midterm buy with $10 million in ad spending to support Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in his Senate race, according to a new filing with the Federal Election Commission.

Paxton and Democrat state Rep. James Talarico are locked in a tight race in which polls continually show the two candidates neck and neck. The race is one of roughly a dozen that will determine if the GOP holds its Senate majority in the midterms.

The $10 million will go toward digital and TV ads across the state.

Paxton also said Democrats want Talarico to be “a third U.S. senator from California,” rather than a leader with Lone Star values.

Democrats every year waste money trying to win Texas. The only way they can do that is via cheating in the big blue cities. Paxton fixed some of those issues as AG. But still it’s a real problem with the way Texas law is setup. If the big blue cities are hellbent on cheating, it’s really very hard for the state to stop them.

a guaranteed seat, went to one we now have to pour 10’s of millions into in one of the reddest states.

Not a good sign.

Each election year, I wish I owned a few television stations. The advertising $$$ have to be outrageous.

About time. People have reported on here watching sports events on TV where all the ads were for Talarico - with nothing for Paxton.

Time to ramp it up for Paxton with football season starting.

I shudder to think of Talarico winning that seat in Texas, yes, indeed, a 3rd senator from California - and you can clearly see the hell state California has become.

The only reason Trumnp is pumping money into Paxton’s campaign is becasue the POS RINO filth refuse to support him; retaliation for taking out that POS RINO cohort Cornhole, who now shows his true colors to the last day as a senator. There aren’t enough POS libtard new arrivals to turn the state yet, especially for that freak the Demonic Party is running with...

Agreed. People can scream that the polls are biased until they are blue in the face, but the fact that MAGA Inc. is pouring $10 million dollars into this race speaks volumes.

No it’s not. Democrats always go for Texas. This happens a lot.

Texas is not a guaranteed election. Cruz vs Beto was proof - 2.5% margin!

Cruz won but it was far too close.

“The only reason Trumnp is pumping money into Paxton’s campaign is becasue the POS RINO filth refuse to support him...”

The article, as usual, is lying about their presentation.

Make America Great Again Inc. (abbreviated as MAGA Inc.) is an American super PAC that supports Donald Trump for his conservative policies. It was founded on September 23, 2022 while Trump was not in office. As a super PAC, it can raise unlimited money for campaigns and spend it freely to support Trump, but it is barred from coordinating directly with presidential campaigns and is not directred or controlled by the POTUS.

So CBS can do their best to try to make it sound like he is directing the use or control of the donated funds, but like I mentioned, it is just another effort to try to dirty the president using TDS. I haven’t found anything on if he has any money in it. And it is built totally on donations.

The problem is more and more refugee democrats keep moving into this state, and bringing their politics with them. And, we also have more and more of the Christian Right staying home because Paxton's personal life bothers them. The real Texans are dying off, and no one is replacing them.

Beto, although a leftist, was far more sane than Talarico. And Cruz, to many, had an off putting personality, which made the race competitive. Talarico is completely off the rails insane. His comments regarding six genders and his open antipathy towards Christians should make this race a landslide win for Paxton. Instead, the Trump-linked MAGA Inc is dumping $10 million dollars into this race. Money talks. This doesn't look good for Texas and for America.

Vote early, vote often.

Hey Tim Scott, why is the NRSC not helping Ken Paxton?

From the NRSC website: “Help Us Keep the Republican Senate Majority”.

“Paxton fixed some of those issues as AG.”

But first we had to elect some better Texas Supreme Court judges. The previous ones wouldn’t allow Paxton to prosecute vote fraud.

yep, the paid chicom/russkie trolls have been having a field day here claiming Trump was keeping all his donations for himself, when the Pubs were just keeping their powder dry until they could see the whites of the voters’ eyes ...

I’m not sure that Cornyn’s butthurt is a good reason to torpedo Paxton.
