Jill Biden opened an old wound with Kamala Harris as the California senator's name circulates as a possible running mate for Joe Biden. Harris's standout moment during the 2020 Democratic primary was her takedown of Joe Biden during last summer's opening debate in Miami. The political grenade caught the two-term vice president's campaign off-guard because of her friendship with his son Beau Biden. The pair were the attorneys general of California and Delaware, respectively, at the same time. Jill Biden, during a breakfast fundraiser in upscale Glencoe, Illinois, recalled her husband's shock when Harris took him to task for opposing...

[Catholic Caucus] Communion Crackdown Coronavirus and the bishops Parishioners around the world are concerned their bishops will ban them from receiving Holy Communion on the tongue owing to the spread of coronavirus. But the Vatican has previously established that bishops cannot do this. On Monday, the vicar general for Chicago, Cdl. Blase Cupich, told priests, "Every consideration should be given by each individual to receive Holy Communion reverently in open hands for the time being." In Australia, the archdiocese of Perth said Wednesday, "Priests are to encourage communicants to receive the Sacred Host in the hand, not on the tongue." These directives are carefully worded with the understanding...

...Most of the attention centers on that all-important number, 9,992. Not only is that the dollar amount an in-state student will pay Purdue for tuition and fees next year; it is also the amount such a student paid Purdue when Daniels became university president, in 2013. The university has also reduced the price of food services and textbooks. An undergraduate degree from Purdue, in other words, is less expensive today than it was when Daniels arrived...

Democrats do not care about the safety and well being of the American people. Lately, they seem more concerned about illegals or how many votes they will get from illegals. 174 House Democrats — including House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer voted against an amendment to the Rights for Transportation Security Officers Act that alters the way TSA disciplines and fires workers. Despite the fact that it was written by Democratic Rep. Lauren Underwood (Ill.). This Amendment would keep people convicted of sexual assault, terrorism and other violent crimes from working for the Transportation Security Agency. Luckily, there were enough sensible...

Washington (CNN)Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham said on Thursday that he opposes censuring Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer amid a controversy over comments the New York Democrat made about Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch. Graham, a close ally of President Donald Trump, explained that his position on the issue is, in part, because Schumer walked back his remarks, but also because it could lead to Democrats attacking Trump. "I don't want to start censuring everybody," the South Carolina Republican said, later adding, "If we start censuring him, they're going to want to censure Trump, and this stuff never ends."
