The Super Tuesday narrative is that Biden was vindicated and heÂ’s stronger than ever, but the primary map and the upcoming states suggest otherwise. With a sweep of the south and key victories in Minnesota and Massachusetts, the media narrative today will be all about how Joe Biden is the comeback kid, back from the dead, risen like a Phoenix from the ashes. That sort of thing.ItÂ’s the kind of story the media loves. They love it so much it doesnÂ’t matter whether itÂ’s true, or whether the media was writing Biden off less than a week ago. The surprise...

When I was a kid in the 1950s, I attended a school summer camp where one of the fireside songs, sung to a Russian tune, was: No Lenin, no Trotsky, No Russian diplomatsky Will ever form a plotsky To overthrow the Czar. Hey! We all knew what had happened some 40 years earlier, but the ditty was fun to sing, and that was about my depth of understanding of the Bolshevik Revolution at that age. Today, another almost ancient phenomenon has magically appeared out of the radical mists of what was once considered a 20th-century failed movement. This marvel is...

TravelSupermarket has been analysing customer searches and package holiday prices and reports significant drops.

Seeking a place to get away from his girlfriend's incessant demands to marry her, a thief in Shanghai told police he wanted to get arrested and that's why he tried to steal a Bluetooth speaker worth 2,000 yuan ($285). "I did it because I wanted to have some alone time and stay away from my girlfriend," the man told the police in an interrogation shown in a video posted by Litchi News. He said his girlfriend has been pushing very hard to get married. A poster warning of the consequences of theft, gave him the idea that he could spend...

s it too late now for me to get my selfie with the fake Indian? How am I going to get her to autograph my copy of “Pow Wow Chow?” When does Bailey the wonder dog go back to Rent-a-Dog Kennel? She finished third in her “home state” of Massachusetts, and fourth in her native state of Oklahoma — this is Pocahontas’ own personal Wounded Knee, and throw in Horseshoe Bend and Tippecanoe, too.

If you could transport yourself back to the Middle Ages and tell people that living things too small to see can cause disease, they’d think you were crazy. Seeing is believing and, quite often, not seeing is not believing. Tragically, this phenomenon is also operative with the virus in our political system called Big Tech bias, which is, unseen by most and with no paper trail, killing Republican electoral chances and remaking our nation. What if I told you that Big Tech could have been responsible for President Trump’s impeachment? What about the credible expert who warns that Big Tech...

Jerusalem — Israel looked set to slide back into political deadlock on Wednesday as the final votes were being tallied from the third election in less than a year. CBS News correspondent Seth Doane reports Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party was holding on to a solid lead, but appeared to be falling short of the 61 seats needed to form a government. With nearly all the votes counted, Likud led the way with 36 seats followed by Benny Gantz's centrist Blue and White party, with 33 seats. The Joint List, an umbrella group of Arab-led parties, finished third with...

The Trump campaign is investing more money and resources in an attempt to attract African-American voters than any Republican presidential campaign in recent memory. The drive includes highly visible television advertising, including an $11 million Super Bowl commercial, along with ad purchases in local black newspapers and on radio stations; “Black Voices for Trump”; storefronts in key battleground states; and a sustained social media campaign directed at black voters whose consumer, religious and demographic profiles suggest potential support, including on such issues as immigration, abortion, gender roles and gay rights. For Trump, the effort became all the more crucial as...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's progressive candidates did not have a “super” Tuesday in the first congressional primaries of the 2020 cycle. The Democratic establishment, on the other hand, could breathe a sigh of relief after three primary challengers from Texas and California underperformed in highly anticipated contests against longtime Democratic incumbents and establishment darlings. A favorite of progressives across the country, Texas congressional candidate Jessica Cisneros, an immigration lawyer, came just short of recreating the AOC primary upset of her own when she attempted to unseat nine-term incumbent Henry Cuellar, who represents the Texas 28th district south of San Antonio. She...

The coronavirus outbreak disrupted Islamic worship in the Middle East as Saudi Arabia on Wednesday banned its citizens and other residents of the kingdom from performing the pilgrimage in Mecca, while Iran canceled Friday prayers in major cities. The decisions in Riyadh and Tehran affected both Sunni and Shiite Muslims alike. The Saudi move expands a ban last week on foreigners visiting Mecca and Medina, home to the holiest sites in Islam. That decision alone disrupted travel for thousands of Muslims already headed to the kingdom and potentially affects plans later this year for millions more ahead of the fasting...

Google is creating AI-powered robots that navigate without human intervention—a prerequisite to being useful in the real world. ====================================================================== Within 10 minutes of its birth, a baby fawn is able to stand. Within seven hours, it is able to walk. Between those two milestones, it engages in a highly adorable, highly frenetic flailing of limbs to figure it all out. That’s the idea behind AI-powered robotics. While autonomous robots, like self-driving cars, are already a familiar concept, autonomously learning robots are still just an aspiration. Existing reinforcement-learning algorithms that allow robots to learn movements through trial and error still rely...
