This week, a half-dozen "women of color" defected from Sen. Elizabeth Warren's effort to win Democratic presidential delegates in Nevada. Megan Lewis, a field organizer blamed "a toxic culture that marginalized me as a woman of color. None of my suggestions were ever acted upon. I felt I was only on-board to give the appearance that the Candidate cared about my issues or me as a person." In response, Warren cited "America's long history of racism and sexism" for the dust-up. "As a Native American woman, I, too, had to face racism and sexism on my path to eminence at...

It is getting harder and harder to go 'plinking' and range time. Wal-Mart has low or no stock in my area. Academy Sports is pretty tight on their inventory. What is the best way to get (22,9mm & 38) ammunition? I am truly asking for a friend.

With the chaos in Iowa still a headache for the Democrats, DNC chair Tom Perez appeared on CNN this morning to address what the hell happened and the questions it raises about the caucus system. Jake Tapper opened by telling Perez the caucuses were clearly a “mess,” and asked, “The DNC, since you took over, has been trying to discourage states from having caucuses and encourage them to have primaries instead. Is it time for the DNC just to say to the state Democratic parties, no more caucuses?” “I think it needs to be state election officials running elections,” Perez...

A NYPD lieutenant was shot Sunday morning in the Bronx, just 12 hours after two officers were ambushed by a gunman in the same precinct. The NYPD said the gunman walked into the 41st precinct just before 8 a.m. Sunday and opened fire on several uniformed officers as well as a civilian employee. The shooter struck a lieutenant positioned by a front desk, striking him in the upper left arm, said Commissioner Dermot Shea. After firing multiple rounds at close range inside the gunman allegedly placed his gun on the floor and laid down to surrender, Shea said. Police recovered...

Despite facing widespread criticism from prominent members from his own party following the debacle with the Iowa caucus, Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez had terse words for those who have called on him to step down from his post. “Absolutely not.” The DNC boss said Sunday that he’s had to make tough decisions during his tenure and admitted that Iowa was a mess, but pointed to the success his party had in the 2018 midterms and Democrats’ expectations for November’s general election as reasons why he won’t be resigning. “Look at the last three years in my job when...

---SNIP--- Andrew Breitbart was Orson’s son-in-law. When I toured Israel with Andrew in the summer of 2007, I asked him to convey our invitation to Orson to write something for Power Line. In response to our standing invitation, Orson provided the following account of “why I wrote this book” for Power Line readers. Orson wrote: For most of my life I didn’t believe in God. Who had time? I was too busy with things of this world: getting ahead, getting laid, becoming famous. For most of my adult life I’ve been at least somewhat famous. Not so famous that I...

With the success of Sen. Bernie Sanders' presidential candidacy and the power that four far-left freshmen have wielded in Congress, socialism has become a major issue in 2020. But country rock superstar Charlie Daniels points out in his latest Soap Box column that socialism in all its forms has never worked. "Not Karl Marx's version, not Fidel Castro's version, not Bernie Sanders version, not the insane version Alexandria 'Cookie' Ocasio-Cortez is pushing, not Elizabeth Warren's Pollyanna ramblings that will probably include free pedicures before it's over, nobody, no how, no way has ever been successful at socialism," he writes. Nevertheless,...

ANALYSIS/OPINION: President Donald Trump, at his State of the Union, to his special guest, Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido, said, “Mr. President, please take this message back to your homeland” — “Americans are united with the Venezuelan people” and know full well, “socialism destroys nations.” Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro didn’t like that, and responded, in part, by boasting, “We have the right to build socialism and we will build — a new democratic, humanist, Christian socialism of the 21st century,” as Breitbart reported. Christian socialism? Make way for the lie. Christianity and socialism cannot coexist and bring freedom to the...

MILWAUKEE — President Donald Trump was more than halfway through his speech at a rally in Milwaukee when one of his hand gestures caught the eye of a supporter standing in the packed arena. The 51-year-old woman believed the president had traced the shape of the letter “Q” with his fingers as a covert signal to followers of QAnon, a right-wing, pro-Trump conspiracy theory. She turned to the couple on her right and excitedly asked, “Did you see the ‘Q’?” “He just did it?” asked Diane Jacobson, 63, of Racine, Wisconsin. “Was that a ‘Q’?” added Jacobson’s husband, Randy, 64....

Joe Biden might lose his third presidential bid to a septuagenarian socialist turning the Democratic Party into the U.K. Labour Party, and yet, he can't help but aim his fire at the 38-year-old former mayor of the 308th largest city in the country. Former Mayor Pete doesn’t think very highly of the Obama-Biden record. Let’s compare. pic.twitter.com/132TB7MHaq — Joe Biden (Text Join to 30330) (@JoeBiden) February 8, 2020 After a year of maintaining a commanding lead over the 2020 primary polls, Biden has begun to spin out in early state polling after his anemic showing in the Iowa caucuses. With...

President Trump called on local law enforcement in New York City and statewide politicians to do more to defend their police officers following two back-to-back shootings that injured officers over the weekend. "I grew up in New York City and, over many years, got to watch how GREAT NYC’s 'Finest' are," Trump said in a tweet Sunday. "Now, because of weak leadership at Governor & Mayor, stand away (water thrown at them) regulations, and lack of support, our wonderful NYC police are under assault. Stop this now!" Police said a man walked into the NYPD's 41st precinct early Sunday morning...

Kirk Douglas, Michael's father, died earlier this week. Michael said at the appearance that his father supported Bloomberg until the very end. "I don't know if he was pulling my leg or not, but one of the last words that he said in the hospital, when he came and he saw me, asked me to lean over close to him, and I leaned over close to him and he said, 'Mike can get it done'," he said.

Some of these slogans were never said or authorized by the candidate themselves. They may have been said, printed, or broadcast by the candidate’s campaign or just an unaffiliated supporter of the campaign. There are also other phrases that are not strictly campaign slogans, but describe a policy or set of programs proposed or implemented by various administrations. Examples of these are: Square Deal (Theodore Roosevelt), New Freedom (Wilson), New Deal (Franklin D. Roosevelt), Fair Deal (Truman), New Frontier (Kennedy), Great Society (Lyndon Johnson), New Covenant (Clinton).

THEN AND NOW-——THE IOWA CAUCUS DEBACLE UP-CLOSE: LAST FALL, Iowa’s Republican and Democratic Parties, and web development vendors, examined the app the Iowa Democratic Party commissioned to tabulate and report caucus results, partnering with (cough) Harvard’s “Defending Digital Democracy Project” to develop strategies and systems to protect results and deal with misinformation. The Harvard group included "party campaign experts” Robby Mook and Matt Rhodes, and experts in (A) cybersecurity, (B) national security, (C) technology and (D) election administration.Fortuitously, the group simulated different ways “things could go wrong” on caucus night. (cue maniacal laugh machine here). Mook is 2016 campaign manager...

Flowers, candy, red hearts and romance. That's what Valentine's day is all about, right? Well, maybe not. The origin of this holiday for the expression of love really isn't romantic at all—at least not in the traditional sense. Father Frank O'Gara of Whitefriars Street Church in Dublin, Ireland, tells the real story of the man behind the holiday—St. Valentine. "He was a Roman Priest at a time when there was an emperor called Claudias who persecuted the church at that particular time," Father O'Gara explains. " He also had an edict that prohibited the marriage of young people. This was...

The word on the street from some qualified sources is that former Deep State crooked cops are going to be arrested this week. But another source, the same one who first outed Ciaramella as the whistleblower, Greg Rubini on Twitter, is saying Dirty cops Peter Strzok and Andrew McCabe will both be arrested this week, maybe even Monday or Tuesday:

Domestic terrorist group Antifa doesn’t like independent journalist Brandon Brown. Even with other journalists and Portland police watching, they attacked Brown for the second time in two months, this time hitting him in the face with “bear spray,” a form of mace intended to hurt and blind attacking bears. Video recorded by antifa writer Shane Burley shows the mob harassing, assaulting & pepper spraying local citizen journalist Brandon Brown. Brown was attacked & robbed by antifa militants for recording them in Olympia, Wash. in December. https://t.co/jC6I7aRcVs pic.twitter.com/flERgVLfKm— Andy Ngo (@MrAndyNgo) February 8, 2020
