A NYPD lieutenant was shot Sunday morning in the Bronx, just 12 hours after two officers were ambushed by a gunman in the same precinct.
The NYPD said the gunman walked into the 41st precinct just before 8 a.m. Sunday and opened fire on several uniformed officers as well as a civilian employee. The shooter struck a lieutenant positioned by a front desk, striking him in the upper left arm, said Commissioner Dermot Shea.
After firing multiple rounds at close range inside the gunman allegedly placed his gun on the floor and laid down to surrender, Shea said. Police recovered the shooter's firearm, empty of bullets according to Shea, and will test it against evidence gathered from the scene of Saturday's shooting.

He and Coumo should spend a week wearing NYPD uniforms, unarmed, and sitting in a police car in the Bronx. See how that goes.
Possible bad actors.

For those outside the NYC area, the 41st Precinct in the South Bronx is the legendary Fort Apache from days gone by ... made famous by the 1981 Paul Newman movie and the biographical book written in the 1970s by a retired NYPD detective.
Obama started the attack on police.
Dad was a cop in Fort Apache in the 50s and 60s. He left before the Four One got its catchy name. If that happened back then the shooter wouldnt have been able to drop his gun before being significantly perforated.
Will this be the real first test of the no bail law?
DeBlasio. DeBlasio. And DeBlasio.
Probably committed by a couple of violent perps cut loose without bail the day before.
Ask the shooter. He is to be released without bail. In the interests of racial justice, of course.

Get more popcorn everybody! We still get six more months of all this nonsense
Dad was a cop there from mid fifties till 1968. After he left it became Fort Apache. After the residence burned down a good chunk of the Bronx and the buildings were torn down it became known, by the Leos as The Little House On The Prairie.
Prayers for these officers and their families.
