Jake Tapper Grills Tom Perez on Iowa Chaos: Is It Time for DNC to Tell States ‘No More Caucuses’?

With the chaos in Iowa still a headache for the Democrats, DNC chair Tom Perez appeared on CNN this morning to address what the hell happened and the questions it raises about the caucus system.

Jake Tapper opened by telling Perez the caucuses were clearly a “mess,” and asked, “The DNC, since you took over, has been trying to discourage states from having caucuses and encourage them to have primaries instead. Is it time for the DNC just to say to the state Democratic parties, no more caucuses?”

“I think it needs to be state election officials running elections,” Perez said, talking about how they want to “return power to the people.”

What happened in Iowa, he continued, was “undeniably unacceptable.”

“I’m frustrated. I’m mad as hell, everybody is, and I think what we’re going to do at the end of this cycle is have a further conversation about whether or not state parties should be running elections,” he added.

Tapper again asked, “Isn’t it time for the DNC to say, ‘that’s it, no more caucuses. No more parties doing this. No more volunteers.’ It is official DNC policy to have primaries and to have state election officials do this.”

“You need to pass a state law to have a state-run primary. There are some states that still have caucuses where I’m not sure the Republican governor would sign the law to have the election. So that’s a challenge,” Perez said.

At one point Tapper asked if Iowa may end up losing its first-in-the-nation status. Perez said that’s a conversation for the national party to have “after this election cycle.”

Sorry, Tapper.

The crooked and corrupt dnc thinks it is their job to pick the nominee.

They don't want to leave it up to dem voters.

“The crooked and corrupt dnc thinks it is their job to pick the nominee.”

That’s what this is really about.

Haha. Called it by the end of the day of the caucus.

All prearranged, with assist from the media, to eliminate caucuses, Iowa first.

Then on to the electoral college.

I have a feeling, that the chaos in Iowa was planned by someone behind the scenes, for their own nefarious purposes.

Someone wanted to throw a Molotov cocktail into the proceedings in Iowa.

Best guess, is that certain elements in the Democrat party didntike the results, so by blowing it up so we will.never know for sure what the results were, they effectively nullified the outcome when the official results were finally announced.

Translation:- It is hard to pull off voter fraud in a caucus forum, therefore the problem is holding a caucus primary.

Problem solved.

It is the DNC’s job to pick the nominee. They went to federal court in 2016 for just such a ruling. So why hold Democrat primaries anyway?

Well people tend to forget that political parties are private organizations. We give them quasi-government status they shouldn’t have. The DNC and for that matter the RNC could pick their candidates by Magic 8-ball if they wanted to.

Forcing Iowa to spend millions on a state-sponsored primary because Dems want to screw each other doesn’t seem fair either.

The fault, dear Losers, lies not in your Cockeyed Caucci, but in yourselves.

The DNC knew exactly who they were getting when Perez was apponted.

Any grumbling and whining now about him is fruitless. The DNC is so corrupt that only a corrupt individual would assume his position, just as he did.

Just as we’ve seen with Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff and every other Democrat… It’s never their fault!

The Iowa results were exactly what DNC made them. Tapper is just clueless, he actually believes it was a screw up.

Note that the big Dem donors have switched from donating to the DNC to campaign committees and PACs. They know Perez is an Affirmative Action boob.

From Wiki:

Political parties in Iowa have used caucuses to select party leaders and candidates for office since the 1800s. Before 1907, parties selected all candidates for political office through the caucus system. Iowa held a presidential primary in 1916, but returned to the caucus system in 1917 due to high costs and low participation.

...

Caucuses have been held for a very long time. Why are they having major problems now, as if I don’t know?

Almost!
A better DNC result would have been manipulating it so Biden won. They couldn’t the data enough to make that happen so they settled for chaos.
