Editor: Another weirdo who is a disciple of Karl Rahner SJ. The Benedictine Monk writes in his newest book that Jesus wanted money for his talks -- a supposition which in any case lacks biblical support. Munich (kath.net) P. Anselm Grün, the famous Benedictine Monk and spiritual writer, has represented in his latest book "God, Money and Conscience -- Monk and Manager in Discussion" seemingly crazy theses about "Jesus and Money". So he says, without biblical proof, that Jesus it supposed to have had charged money for his talks. "Jesus had a purse", he said a few days ago at...

I don't have to now," said Potts. Her freshman schedule is packed with four AP classes, Latin and orchestra where she plays the viola. She also makes award-winning documentaries. Potts says going into her first college...

Today, the day after a very stunning victory for tea party conservative Christine O’Donnell of Delaware. She was able to pull off this win, not only because of her support coming not only from the tea party movement in Delaware, but from national conservative talk radio show hosts, such as Mark Levin. This morning she was on Fox’s “Fox And Friends”. She is a reminder that this nation, the United States of America is right now in revolt mode by many Americans. Despite bad reports coming from Karl Rove and a number of GOP establishment persons, Ms. O’Donnell’s win shows...

Hyperinflation and Unemployment Two Signs of Serious Trouble By Bill Bonner 09/15/10 Paris, France – The big news from yesterday was the rise in the price of gold. It went up $24 to a new all-time high. The stock market was just about flat. What does it mean? Well, the dollar is going down, for one thing. Bonds too. Has the long-awaited turnaround in the bond market finally begun? We don’t know. We really didn’t expect it so soon. John Williams, who keeps track of what is really going on in the economy at his “ShadowStats” outfit, says to expect...

MIAMI -- A Miami family says a hospital mistakenly circumcised their baby even though they repeatedly told staff they did not want the procedure. Vera Delgado said she told staff at South Miami Hospital several times that she did not want her baby, Mario Viera, to be circumcised last month. But eight days after his birth and without his mother present, doctors performed the surgery even though he was in intensive care. Topping the internet’s most popular news aggregators today is the no-strings-attached offer by grassroots, web-based organization ColorOfChange.org to provide anyone who wants one a “Turn Off FOX” sticker, free of charge (yes, even shipping). And who isn’t a fan of free things? Or simple bumper sticker activism for that matter. And while, most casual liberals may see this as a random grassroots giveaway, but it’s actually a part of Color of Change’s long struggle against FOX News. Color of Change first seriously battled the network last summer, when they lead the charge of getting advertisers to drop Glenn Beck after...

The US continues to hammer terrorist bases in Pakistan's Taliban-controlled tribal agency of North Waziristan, striking for the fourth time in the past two days. The latest airstrike, carried out by the unmanned Predator and Reaper attack aircraft, killed three "rebels" in the village of Payekhel in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, according to Dawn. The Datta Khel area is administered by Hafiz Gul Bahadar, the Taliban commander for North Waziristan. No senior Taliban or al Qaeda commanders have been reported killed in the strike. The US has carried out three other strikes in North Waziristan over the...

Tilted toward the GOP from the start of the year, the political environment has grown even more favorable for Republicans and rockier for President Barack Obama and his Democrats over the long primary season that just ended with a bang. With November's matchups set and the general election campaign beginning in earnest Wednesday, an Associated Press-GfK poll found that more Americans say the country is headed in the wrong direction than did before the nomination contests got under way in February. Also, more now disapprove of the job Obama is doing. And more now want to see Republicans in control...

Dear Friend, Click here to see the advertisement Americans for New Leadership wants to put on the air in Nevada. If we get this ad on and get enough weight behind it, it will destroy Harry Reid. The ad has no heated rhetoric, no slanted adjectives. It just accurately describes Reid's record and Angle's positions. It lets words like "Stimulus Package" "TARP" and "Cap and Trade" speak for themselves. Our polling shows that, confronted with these facts -- just the facts -- voters back Angle by double digits. Please send us funds to get this ad on the air. Our...

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; (Romans 5:1-3) Romans 5 is a chapter all about the assurance of salvation. Because of our justification, through the death and resurrection of Jesus, we now have peace with God. Our conscience has been informed that something effective has been done to reconcile us to God, our sins...

Andrew Breitart is preparing to post "interesting" audio of a member of Congress this week. “You’re going to hear interesting audio that’s going to come out this week, and it involves a certain member of Congress leaving a voicemail one should never leave asking for money of a person who she could help and vice versa," said Mr. Breitbart. “She is a known quantity and a respected person who has been granted a lot of respect and I think knowing people here, it is going to be very surprising that she would be behaving this way. This was supposed to...

PHOENIX -- Citing the arrests of 35 illegal aliens this week for allegedly being involved in human smuggling, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Wednesday he will soon implement his plan for a volunteer armed posse to help with enforcement of illegal immigration and human smuggling laws. The sheriff said the posse members will be outfitted with appropriate hardware and gear. Arpaio's announcement came as he reported his deputies arrested 23 illegal aliens who were being smuggled through Maricopa County on Tuesday night, bringing the week's total to 35. Tuesday night's arrests were the result of two traffic stops in...

“Let’s go balls to the wall for Christine O’Donnell,” Rush Limbaugh implored listeners on his show today, but Rush knows that his listeners are the choir to which he is preaching. It’s the party establishment and the center-right commentariat that needs to hear the message, and in that vein, Rush took on Karl Rove on today’s show. Rush demanded to know why Rove and other establishment figures want to make Christine O’Donnell’s character the issue, when it’s the character of the current administration and Democratic leadership in Congress that should get the focus. Instead of issuing self-fulfilling prophecies of doom,...

...Cost of Government Day was celebrated nationally on August 19, meaning that the average American had to toil for a full 231 days in order to pay off their burden of government. Nearly a month later, New Jersey doesn’t finish paying off their burden of government until after 257 days of work, a difference of 26 days. This mammoth government is financed by taxes, and New Jersey has done its fair share of tax hikes: in the past eight years, residents of New Jersey have faced an additional $22 billion in taxes—a hideous increase of $2472.86 per man, woman, and...

Delaware Senate GOP candidate Christine O'Donnell said in 2008 that then-Sen. Barack Obama was "anti-American." O'Donnell suggested during an interview on Fox News that then-presidential candidate Obama was "anti-American," and attempted to explain why. "I would prefer Barack Obama because he is so liberal, that — he's anti-American," O'Donnell said when asked if Republicans would prefer to face Obama or his then-primary opponent, Hillary Clinton. "Let me explain why. He's beating the change drum, but let's look at the change. He did not vote for English as the official language. What does that say?" O'Donnell added.
