WASHINGTON – The capital was rocked today by a taxpayer march and rally that could be the biggest protest ever – potentially dwarfing the Million Man March and the Promise Keepers Rally. Though crowd estimates vary from as low as 60,000 to 70,000 according to ABC News to a high of 2 million by London Daily Mail, photographs and videos of the march and rally demonstrate its enormity. The taxpayers stormed Washington, D.C., today, taking their fight against excessive spending, bailouts, growth of big government and soaring deficits to the front door of the U.S. Capitol. All week citizens have...

A giant imperial power, destined to soon dominate the globe, is suddenly emerging from behind its benign facade! ************************************************************************* In February 1934, Herbert W. Armstrong launched a magazine, using biblical prophecy as his guide, and history and current world events as his frame of reference. It was to become the most widely circulated of all periodic publications during the 20th century. Called the Plain Truth, the first edition of that fledgling publication carried a cover article headlined dramatically, “Is a World Dictator About to Appear?” By August of that year, Adolf Hitler, whose declared goal was global rule, became the...

Tens of thousands of people marched through Washington Saturday to protest President Obama's proposed health care plans. The rowdy pilgrimage capped a series of conservative "Tea Party" rallies across the country.... There was a carnival atmosphere. Many people brought their children, strollers, dogs and folding chairs. But there was also a strong undercurrent of anger, from people like Goyet's mother, Dedi Rapp. "I want them to leave us alone. They work for us. We are not their servant, they are our servants, and we are going to vote them all out," she says....

AIIIIIIEEEEEEE!!!! MY EYES! MY EYES!Yes, that is the sound of the DUmmies and KOmmies shriveling in pain in the face of the time lapse VIDEO that clearly shows that the 9/12 Tea Party in Washington, D.C. numbered in the HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS at the very least and more likely well over a million. The Daily Mail put the number at two million and the the time lapse video certainly shows it could well have hit that figure. And this is why the DUmmies and KOmmies are acting towards that time lapse video like vampires confronted by a cross. So...

The Chicago Tribune has a fascinating story about Mayor Daley. The headline of the story is the poll that was done with it. That poll shows Mayor Daley just slightly more popular with the people of Chicago than George Bush was with the American people in the waning months of his presidency. The real story however is the Tribune's analysis of the poll's effect on Daley's power base. Here's the money analysis.

Hurry up with that Health Care Reform so voters will forget by next year.... NEW YORK — Despite sweeping Democratic successes in the past two national elections, continuing job losses and President Barack Obama's slipping support could lead to double-digit losses for the party in next year's congressional races and may even threaten their House control. Fifty-four new Democrats were swept into the House in 2006 and 2008, helping the party claim a decisive majority as voters soured on a Republican president and embraced Obama's message of hope and change. Many of the new Democrats are in districts carried by...

Sitting here in my DC hotel room this morning and received the Hotel's USA Today newspaper and took a look through the front page section. Guess What! The USA Today didn't even have any story on the Washington Tea Party. Can you imagine that! No story. The Newspaper media is wondering why their readership is declining its obivious that they are the Obama Media department and they work for the Democratic party. Can you imagine that 1,500,000 people attended a rally in DC to wake up the politicians and they USA Today doesn't cover it. I guess we have the...

Guest Post: The Boom Before The Bust Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/13/2009 21:29 -0500 Submitted by The Pragmatic Capitalist We're at a truly fascinating crossroads in modern economic times. Financial theory as we have come to know it will be changed forever based the recent actions of Ben Bernanke and global central bankers. Millions of textbooks will be rewritten in the coming 10 years and careers will either flourish or die on the back of the actions of these bankers. Those in favor of Bernanke's legendary helicopter drop are celebrating a 6 month rally in equities, but a vital...

LANSING, Mich., Sept. 14 (UPI) -- A study indicating that 346 teenagers are serving life sentences in Michigan prisons, the second-most in the country, has sparked a debate, observers say. The report by the University of Texas Lyndon Baines Johnson School of Public Affairs also contends that Michigan is among the harshest U.S. states in the way it treats teens accused of major crimes, the Detroit News reported Monday. "Children simply aren't as culpable as adults because their brains aren't fully developed yet, and they are much more capable of rehabilitation," Michele Deitch, an adjunct professor at the University of...

What are your solutions for removing bird droppings from a sliding screen door? It seems a flock of black birds decided to do a straffing run over the weekend and I have to clean it off....obviously, but would like to use a mixture of some sort to spray and then hose it down... and since screen material is fragile (it's old) I don't want to use any sort of scrubbing pad...any ideas?

George Stephanopoulos says that the Wednesday night speech “stopped the slide,” as the Washington Post/ABC poll results show Barack Obama’s speech on Wednesday night mainly flopped. Unfortunately, even with a ridiculous 11-point spread between Democrats and Republicans in the latest poll sample, Obama still can’t get to 50% support on health care leadership, dropped another point from the last poll on the economy, and lost six points between overall approval and disapproval over the last month: Our new ABC News/Washington Post poll out this morning shows that the President’s joint session speech may have stopped his summer slide, but it...

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Forty-three percent of young Swedes interviewed for a national study said they believe getting paid for sex is acceptable, authorities in Sweden said. The study from the Swedish National Board for Youth Affairs also suggested an estimated 20,000 Swedes between the ages of 16 and 25 have sold sex, primarily through connections made on the Internet, The Local reported Monday. Young people interested in selling sex often suffer serious emotional problems, board spokeswoman Inger Ashing said. "There is a higher instance of problems with family relationships and many show other signs that they don't...

I know I keep hammering on 30% contractions in various metrics of shipping and traffic, asking "how can we have a 5% GDP contraction when 30% downstrokes are taking place literally almost everywhere I look in commercial activity?" But this article, published today, should end the stupidity:Do not tell these men and women about green shoots of recovery. As Briton Tim Huxley, one of Asia's leading ship brokers, says, if the world is really pulling itself out of recession, then all these idle ships should be back on the move.'This is the time of year when everyone is doing all...

Last week during an address to the nation, President Obama went on the attack against the nation's health insurance companies, using the example of Otto Raddatz, an Oakbrook, Illinois man whose insurance coverage was cancelled while fighting cancer. During the speech the President told the nation, "One man from Illinois lost his coverage in the middle of chemotherapy because his insurer found that he hadn't reported gallstones that he didn't even know about. They delayed his treatment, and he died because of it." But, the President conveniently failed to disclose a few key facts of the story including how the...

With Friends Like Joe Biden… 31 August, 17:00 | Anthony T. Salvia, Special to Kyiv Post Bucking the wishes of a solid majority of Ukrainians, President Victor Yushchenko is plowing ahead with plans to incorporate Ukraine in NATO. In early August, he signed off on a national program to meet NATO membership criteria and gave his cabinet four weeks to present him with an implementation scheme. It’s a politically risky move that recently got a lot riskier thanks to the activities of a voluble overseas friend of the President’s. I refer to U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden and his recent...
