Two federal judges on Wednesday blocked the removal of Venezuelan nationals and alleged TdA gang members facing deportation under the Alien Enemies Act after the Supreme Court’s ruling on the Kilmar Abrego Garcia case. US District Judge for the Southern District of Texas, Fernando Rodriguez, Jr., a Trump appointee, issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) through April 23 or until he issues an order. “Respondents are enjoined from transferring, relocating, or removing J.A.V., J.G.G., W.G.H., or any other person that Respondents claim are subject to removal under the Proclamation, from the El Valle Detention Center; and Respondents are enjoined from...

Obama-appointed Judge James Boasberg on Monday rejected the Trump Administration’s request to vacate the temporary restraining order (TRO), but offered to convert it to a preliminary injunction. Since TROs are typically unappealable, the Trump Administration will be able to appeal if the TRO is converted to an injunction. The Trump Administration has until March 26 to inform the court. Boasberg said the deported aliens are entitled to individual hearings!

The Trump administration has been inundated with lawsuits. While this is hardly surprising, the sheer volume — well over 100 as of this writing — and the speed at which unfavorable rulings have been issued against the president are remarkable. The rapid pace of these cases has muddled key legal issues. Notably, many cases involving contracts, back pay, and civil service protections likely do not belong in federal district court at all. These courts have, in turn, successfully backlogged Trump’s agenda by issuing temporary restraining orders — a unilateral command to back down without any opportunity to appeal. The Department...

That escalated quickly. On Thursday, Federal District Court Judge James Boasberg rejected the Trump administration's Justice Department filing about the illegal alien deportation flights to our ally, El Salvador, in what's being characterized as an "angry order." He is threatening to hold them in contempt. As we previously wrote, the judge ordered the planes to turn around mid-flight: As RedState’s Ward Clark reported Saturday, the president invoked the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 against the vicious Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua which has been terrorizing cities across the country—and then the administration sent at least one planeload of members of...

The Supreme Court on Feb. 26 temporarily paused a federal judge’s order giving the Trump administration until midnight to resume $2 billion in foreign aid payments. The Trump administration filed an emergency appeal at the Supreme Court Wednesday night asking the court to halt the midnight deadline until the motion is resolved. Chief Justice John Roberts said the order will remain on hold until the Supreme Court weighs in more fully on the matter. U.S. District Judge Amir Ali issued a temporary restraining order earlier this month directing both USAID and the State Department to restore funding for contracts that...

Corrupt Obama Judge Amy Berman Jackson extended a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) reinstating fired Biden holdover Hampton Dellinger after a dramatic hearing on Wednesday. .... Snip.... Emboldened by the Supreme Court’s refusal to intervene, Hampton Dellinger is causing problems and attacking President Trump’s decision to terminate “probationary” employees. In a statement released on Monday, Hampton Dellinger said some of Trump’s firings of probationary employees appear to be illegal. “Last Friday, Special Counsel Hampton Dellinger filed initial requests to “stay,” or pause, the apparently impermissible terminations of six probationary employees across various executive branch agencies. The requests, filed with the U.S....

A federal judge on Thursday delivered a major blow to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), denying their attempt to force the Trump administration into continuing taxpayer funding for their massive refugee resettlement operations. Judge Trevor McFadden, a Trump appointee, rejected the bishops’ request for a temporary restraining order (TRO) that would have forced the administration to immediately restore funding. The lawsuit, filed by the non-profit organization USCCB in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, challenged the Trump administration’s decision to cut off federal grants that fuel the mass resettlement of migrants across America—programs that have...

Washington — A federal judge on Tuesday declined to stop Elon Musk and the White House's Department of Government Efficiency, known as DOGE, from accessing data systems at seven federal agencies and firing or putting their employees on leave. U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan rejected a request for a temporary restraining order sought by 14 Democrat-led states as they pursue a challenge to Musk's actions. The states have argued that Musk, who the White House said is categorized as a special government employee, has unchecked authority and is violating the Constitution's Appointments Clause. But in a 10-page decision, Chutkan found...

Trump Seeks Emergency SCOTUS Stay Of District Court TRO Preventing Termination of Senior Employee District Court prevented termination of Hampton Dellinger as head of the Office of Special Counsel. Emergency Application: “The United States now seeks this Court’s intervention because these judicial rulings irreparably harm the Presidency by curtailing the President’s ability to manage the Executive Branch in the earliest days of his Administration….” Posted by William A. Jacobson Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 05:52pm 3 Comments I’ve been arguing since the Democrats’ pre-planned lawfare campaign started that the Trump administration needed to start getting cases to the Supreme Court...

You love to see it.Judge Ana Reyes, a Biden appointee, ripped into lawyers for the fired inspectors general suing to get their jobs back.As previously reported, eight inspectors general fired by Trump filed a lawsuit to get their jobs back.President Trump last month fired over a dozen inspectors general in a late night purge shortly after he was sworn into office.Real Clear Politics reporter Susan Crabtree explained that many of these IGs, who are in a position to identify and clean up waste and abuse, have long histories of whitewashing reports and playing politics.President Trump kept current Department of Homeland...

On Friday’s Mark Levin Show, you are watching a Communist battle taking place within a Marxist party. The Democrat party and the media have brought us to this point. 14 million Democrats cast their votes for Biden, millions of dollars were contributed to get Biden the nomination and now they are calling for a mini primary. A mini-primary in which there is no primary, in which the real primary voters are disenfranchised, and the man who was saving democracy and abortion-on-demand is kicked to the curb. Like other Marxist political parties, the civil war within the Democrat Party, between the...

Winning!Injunction against Illinois' Un-Constitutional "Assault Weapons Ban" has been granted by the US District Court! They cite the clear violation of the Second Amendment which includles the indivual right to bear arms (in common use) and US Supreme Court Precedent. Clearly the court recognized that Illinois' "Assault Weapons Ban" was written in defiance of the US Constitution and legal precedent. At this point, JB PRICKSTER and KWAME RAOUL are all but guaranteed to lose if they appeal to the IL Supreme Court, who'll simply uphold the Appellate Court's finding. Fatboy PRICKSTER and RAOUL wouldn't stand an ice cubes chance in...

A federal judge in Illinois has granted a temporary injunction blocking the enforcement of a gun law which bans some semiautomatic rifles as well as high-capacity magazines. United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois judge Stephen Patrick McGlynn issued the ruling Friday afternoon, stating that the court "must be mindful of the rights guaranteed by the Constitution." The ban, signed by Democratic Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker in January, includes penalties for individuals who, "Carries or possesses… Manufactures, sells, delivers, imports, or purchases any assault weapon or .50 caliber rifle."

Earlier today I traced yesterday’s sequence of events in federal district court in Georgia that led to the issuance of a TRO by District Court Judge Timothy Batten, whereby he directed officials in Cobb, Gwinnett, and Cherokee Counties to not take any action to alter or delete electronic data stored on the Dominion voting system machines that were used in the Nov. 3 election. Judge Batten reserved, for now, the question of whether to allow the machines to undergo forensic examination by experts hired by the Plaintiffs in the case and gave the State and County Defendants until Wednesday to...

The FBI says authorities are aware that the federal judge in Hawaii who ruled against President Donald Trump’s travel ban has received threatening messages. FBI spokeswoman Michele Ernst said Thursday the agency is aware of reports of threatening messages against U.S. District Judge Derrick Watson and is prepared to help if necessary. Watson blocked the federal government from enforcing its ban on new visas for people from six mostly Muslim countries and its suspension of the nation’s refugee program. He issued his ruling last week hours before the travel ban was to go into effect.

President Donald Trump has very strongly criticized the decision of a federal judge in Seattle who issued a temporary restraining order [TRO] covering his new executive order [EO] regarding immigration. This order, and others like it relating not only to refugees but also, for example, to Obama’s order granting semi-permanent residency status to millions of illegal aliens (halted by the 5th Circuit), raise several legal concerns which cry out for correction since they are likely to get even worse in the future. ...snip.. Here’s why I think Robart’s ruling is wrong: FIRST, it’s doubtful that a state (in this case...

Why does Stem Express want to keep the undercover video shot by the Center for Medical Progress under wraps? David Daleiden, CMP’s project leader, tells CNN that the conversation included an admission that they “sometimes get fully intact fetuses shipped to their laboratory from the abortion clinics that they work with.” Daleiden notes, “That could be prima facie evidence of born-alive infants” — and a potential series of violations of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act (BAIPA), passed into law in 2002. And that’s why “they’re very scared of it,” Daleiden says … right before the interviewer changes the subject:

They got a Temporary Restraining Order issued, which holds the status quo until there can be a hearing on a preliminary injunction. Here's a copy of the motion for TRO. I don't mind saying its bunk. There are traditionally four factors to be considered, and the first is probability of ultimate success, that is, if this case goes to trial, is the person seeking a TRO or PI likely to win? There's not a word in the morion about that. It doesn't even identify a legal theory. Yes, they don't like the legislation, and speculate it might make more work...
