Tulsa National Little League granted temporary restraining order to play in tournament

Hours after the Tulsa National Little League baseball team was removed from the Southwest regional, 2 News was told a judge in Waco has granted a Temporary Restraining Order, allowing them to play.
Earlier August 10, the Little League International Tournament Committee said in a statement, "Following a recent protest related to the eligibility of players on the Tulsa National Little League Baseball team, the Little League® International Tournament Committee has determined that a player who participated on the team during the International Tournament is ineligible."
The committee removed the team and counted the last game as forfeit.
2 News Oklahoma's TJ Eckert was told the team is scheduled to resume their tournament August 11 at 6:00pm.

Boerne (Texas West) defeated Ascension Parish (Louisiana) 4-1 in the Southwest Region championship game on Monday in Waco to advance to the Little League World Series.
The matchup between the teams was originally scheduled to be an elimination game, with the winner advancing to face Tulsa National (Oklahoma) for the title, but Tulsa National was disqualified from the Southwest tournament Monday after Little League International ruled that one of its players was ineligible. The ruling turned the elimination game into the championship game.

Now, on the baseball side, three Southwest Regional Tournament participants are asking Little League to investigate “whether Tulsa National Little League operated its entire 2026 baseball program in compliance with Little League Regulations, Playing Rules, Operating Policies, Charter Requirements and Player Eligibility Requirements required for International tournament eligibility,” according to a complaint obtained by Softball On SI.
The complaint lays out four regulations that Tulsa National allegedly violated, including the Sibling Participation Regulation II(a)(1), League Eligibility, Pitching more than one game in a day Regulation VI(k) and Completing a game Rule 4.10(c)(2).
In addition to the four violations previously mentioned, the three leagues that filed the protest have accused Tulsa National Oklahoma District Administrator Mindy Abbott and Tulsa National Little League President Steve Skocik of using the Challenger program fraudulently to falsify player eligibility.
“Not only are there multiple sources that have confirmed that Tulsa National Little League did not play a Challenger game this year, there are questions regarding whether the player would even qualify for the Challenger program,” the protest reads. “Using a special needs program in this manner is so egregious that anyone involved with this should be banned for life from Little League.”
The complaint also reveals that a previous protest filed against Tulsa National Little League in Waco two days ago was denied.
“A GameChanger admin has been deleting and modifying Tulsa National Little League GameChanger data since the original protest filed by Boerne Little League,” says the complaint. “These actions show an intent to deceive and/or hide the facts of how the season was played and should nullify any GameChanger data as evidence of player participation during the regular season.”
As a result, the protest is asking for an “immediate investigation into the operating policies of Tulsa National Little League to determine whether or not a valid season was conducted, the disqualification of Tulsa National Little League from all 2026 postseason play and disciplinary action against District Administrator Mindy Abbott and Steve Skocik for knowingly falsifying official Little League documentation.”
Wow, in my childhood we just headed a bat and a ball, gloves were extras and a field not to close to windows, keeping score?
Sounds like a dry run for updated vote cheating protocols...

I still don’t understand what rules were violated.
Usually in these cases, one or more players were too old, or didn't live within the team's district.
I grew up not far from Williamsport, PA.
The rules violations, especially the age limit violations were claimed every year against the foreign teams as long as I can remember.
One sentence cited something about sibling participation, so it seems there’s a limitation on brothers (or sisters in this day and age) playing on the same team.
Makes me think of “Saving Private Ryan” fictionalizing the Army’s real effort to prevent one family from being wiped out. Perhaps here they couldn’t risk too many boo-boos to one.
The disqualified player is a 36 year old trans-sexual.
Geographical rules are in play to ensure it’s a smaller swath of players. This affected Taiwan for many years after the tournament expanded.

You would need to peruse the Little League regulations to fully understand the rule cited here, but it appears there were four rules broken as cited here.
Ever since there was an 18 year old playing, LL really cracked down. My son was a very good player but we didn’t have LL in our town in Iowa so I took him to play for a team in west Omaha. When it came time for tournament play, we contacted LL, showed that he played for the same team for years etc. but they refused to budge to make an exception.

The legal kids on the team are devastated, as expected, and it's always the parents who screw things up. In this case, the parents who lied about their child's birth date and participation in the Challenger league.
That’s what I remembered. They looked much older.
