I have been reading Donald Trump's twitter without problems until a couple of days ago. Now, I cannot view it anymore as I am asked by Twitter to submit a phone number to pair with my account. Well, I don't have a Twitter account nor do I want one because I don't intend to tweet. I guess that makes me a lurker. Do I actually need to create an account if I only want to read DT's tweets and not post tweets? OK, here's the message that Twitter displays... Add a phone number. Enter the phone number that you would...

Are there any Linux gurus here? I've looked around online and asked some questions in various forums, but I'm not getting anywhere. I've found explanations of how to set it up, but no examples. I have yet to get it working. I am trying to configure an environment with several Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.1 virtual machines. All of these machines need to be NTP clients of my NTP server. The NTP server uses MD5 authentication, and I need to have the Linux clients authenticate the NTP traffic. Can someone please post a working "ntp.conf" and "keys" file so that...

OK FReepers, I am becoming frustrated FReeping on my iPad. Ever since the most recent update to Safari (iPad 8.4), whenever I click to read an article and then click back to the forum page my browser goes to the top of the page instead of back to the point at which I clicked away. This makes for excessive scrolling just to get back to where I left off. Any of you iPad users experiencing this or is it just me? (I am logged in) I read other forums where this does not happen, and the boss says nothing has...

Is there a difference between using a "hotspot" and having your phone become a hotspot? Is there a difference between phones/carriers or just carriers. I had an AT&T HTC phone, my friend had an AT&T I-Phone and got coverage where I could not. I need to have an internet connection for may laptop at an upcoming event and am considering getting a hotspot. Please offer info/suggestions/etc. (Serious please) yeah right!

Running Windows XP on Dell GX-280. Have Realtek RTL series wireless internet USB plug installed. When I reboot the computer, the wireless connection fails and I have to re-enter the network setup and re-enter the wireless password key again to reconnect. Sometimes several times. How can I prevent this from happening? I have tried both with the firewall active and deactivated. Thanks.

I have kind of done this before. I have been working to delete a virus all morning on this borrowed computer. I think I have succeeded in the main. The problem is the virus did cause some problems. Some exe files will not execute. It is probably a registry value that has been changed. This is a BORROWED computer. I was using it when it apparently got infected. So I have a duty to fix this. It an an EEPC netbook running Windows XP. So the registry value at exe in the command line should be what? SO how do...

There is this older Toshiba laptop running Windows XP. It loads but I can not log in. It says it is loading the settings but then it logs off, the desktop never loads. I tried safemode but AVG is hard to use in safe mode. There may be a virus but why would it do this? I think AVG may have quarantined a file the computer actually needs or something. Does anyone have a clue?

I have a Toshiba PC and a MacBook both on the same wireless network. I want to copy files from the Toshiba onto the MacBook. I have enabled file sharing for the folder on the Toshiba. I'm looking for a Mac equivalent (if there is one) of "network neighborhood." That is, what application do I use on the MacBook that allows me to "see" the folder on the Toshiba? Thanks.

I am setting up a new MacBook Pro. As part of setup, I am being asked to connect to wireless network. The MacBook has detected the SSID of our home network. We have a DLink 614+ wireless router, which I believe is 802.11b compliant. It has WEP encryption, using a 26 character hex key. Our curren PCs connect fine. During MacBook setup, we are given a list of detected networks, and our current one's SSID appears on that list. MacBook then asks us for "password." I try putting in the 26 character key, but it isn't working. Am I doing...

Also, When I go to websites such as wwtdd.com I cannot see inline videos. All I see is the quicktime symbol with a big question mark. I believe I have the latest version of quicktime and the latest version of Flash 8.0. Any suggestions (other than get off the internet)?

Need some help Recently mp3 files on cd's I put in my box have started showing up as .cda files that are 1 kb big instead of mp3 files. I cannot transfer these to an mp3 player nor copy them to a cd. My older music files still remain as mp3's. What has happened? And what must I do to once again read these as mp3's? Thanks for any help

I've searched extensively online for a new ISP. No luck. I think I'll have better luck with recommendations from my FReeper FRiends. Requirements: 1) It must be cheap. No more than $140-$180 a year ($15 a month max) or not much higher. 2)It must be faster than 46.6 kbps. (That's the fastest speed I can log on at now.) Would prefer 50.6 kbps or higher. Thank you for any recommendations.

CQ CQ CQ - Doctor Raoul has kindly asked if I would ping the Ham List in the hopes that a technically skilled Freeper may be able to assist with repairs to PA systems to be used in Freeps. Excerpts from his Freepmail appear below: ========================================================= I have a number of Amplivox portable PAs. It may be that I'm not aligning the prongs on the battery case or perhaps corrosion. Have a schematic on bottom of case. Need them checked out and then we can send them to people doing counter-protests. I think it's possible to wire them up to...
