Modesto, California (AHN) - A big rig tanker crashed on near State Route 99 south of Ceres this morning, releasing hazardous fumes and forcing evacuations. The California Highway Patrol and emergency crews were called to the scene just before noon. The FBI is warning police that al-Qaida cells may attempt to use fuel trucks as weapons to attack Los Angeles, New York and Chicago on the fourth anniversary of the worst terrorist attack in history. Though officials stress the warning is based on uncorroborated intelligence, the FBI used a computer network to spread the word that Osama bin Laden's terrorist network could hit the U.S. again on or around Sept. 11. Tanker Truck Fire Shuts Down Bruckner Expressway October 04, 2005 A tanker truck has burst into flames near the Bruckner Expressway in the Bronx, shutting down traffic on the highway in both directions. The Fire Department say the explosion happened at 1344 Bruckner Boulevard near the Hunts Point drawbridge shortly after 2 p.m. It is still unclear exactly what caused the tanker to catch fire.
