A man was arrested for allegedly intimidating and threatening worshippers at a mosque in Phoenix. The Phoenix Police Department on Saturday night arrested Noel Thomas Becht on charges of trespassing, disorderly conduct and threatening and intimidating, according to The Associated Press. Becht remained in custody at the Maricopa County Jail as of Monday. At least four people have been injured after a man intentionally drove into a crowd of people in western Germany in what appears to have been an attack directed at foreigners. Those hit by the car included Syrian and Afghan citizens, and some were seriously injured. Muenster police said the 50-year-old driver of a Mercedes drove into a crowd in the centre of Bottrop shortly after midnight Tuesday.

HPAKANT, Myanmar, July 2 (UPI) -- A mob burned down a mosque in northern Myanmar, the second attack in a little more than one week. Several hundred villagers wielding sticks, knives and other weapons raided and burned the structure around 3:30 p.m. Friday, according to the state-run Global New Light of Myanmar state-newspaper. Six people suffered from smoke inhalation injuries early on Thursday morning after unknown attackers set fire to a hotel in Bingen, Rhineland-Palatinate. The fire broke out in the hotel on the town’s main street at around 3:15am, police reported. 25 people, including 16 refugees, were staying there that night, the hotel’s owner told broadcaster SWR. An alarming majority of Jews living in Europe today are afraid to reveal their Jewishness, a survey carried out by the Rabbinical Centre of Europe (RCE) published on Tuesday found.
