At least four people have been injured after a man intentionally drove into a crowd of people in western Germany in what appears to have been an attack directed at foreigners.
Those hit by the car included Syrian and Afghan citizens, and some were seriously injured.
Muenster police said the 50-year-old driver of a Mercedes drove into a crowd in the centre of Bottrop shortly after midnight Tuesday.

A Mercedes?
I'll ask the obvious question. What are Syrian and Afghan citizens doing in Muenster?
I would expect to see more fo this.
So many Syrians and Afghans in Germany now, that you can’t drive a car into a crowd without hitting some anymore.
Far right? Certainly they meant “EXTREME far right TRUMP supporter/attacker!”
NOW the press is into labeling and letting the actions of one speak for an entire group.
How quickly they let us know that it’s a “far right” individual. When it’s a muzzy, they do all they so we won’t find out.
Article calls them immigrants and then calls them Syrian and Afghan citizens. LOL
Oh well...............
OK, waiting for the next headline "Crazed Radical Islamist Kills People"
At the end of the article, you of course find this:
"Police said there are indications the suspect suffered from mental illness."
You can't be for preserving German culture and questioning the importation of untold numbers of islamists without being labeled mentally ill.
Are Muslims EVER called “far” anything when they do violent acts?
Most likely he’s not “far right”. But if he hates foreign immigrants, that’s good enough for the media.
So, B_F will your Mercedes buff out?
Mercedes is one of the most popular cars in Europe.
Over here we consider them a “luxury” car. Over there they use them as taxis. A taxi driver in Belgium told us they are considered the same as our Chevy or Ford.
I don’t approve of or encourage such actions...
That said, I’ll be the first to admit that my first thought upon reading the headline was: “What’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.”
So someone figured out that two can play this game.
Rejected by Merkle’s army?
Man bites dog.
The crowd appear to have been in the street. Who had right-of-way?
Turnabout is fair play.
