He brought Benghazi hero Mark "Oz" Geist with him: Trump Jr spoke to a good crowd of local supporters. He was sure to remind us WE'RE GONNA TURN COLORADO SOLID RED this year! A genuine speech that came from the heart, not from notes or teleprompters. The crowd was great. Even Trump Jr can pack a house far better than Hitlery. This deplorable had a blast, and can't wait to help deliver Colorado to our next President! Apologies for the fuzziness of the pics. Dang phone ain't so smart after all.

New Berlin, Wis. --(Ammoland.com)- How did you get started in the hunting and the TV industry? I began writing for hunting websites and magazines in 2006 in order to stay connected to the hunting community. I met fellow writer and producer , Jim Kinsey, and we began discussing what we both felt was missing in many of the current hunting shows. One idea lead to another and our show SKULL BOUND was born, tying in my skull business and passion for conservation. What is the biggest mishap that has happened while filming an episode? Luckily, we haven’t had too many...

A survey has found that John McCain holds a considerable lead over Barack Obama in the race to become president — among hunters and fishermen. Given that there are an estimated 40 million hunters and fishermen of voting age in the United States, there’s some significance to their thinking and it may have helped the current president win two terms. We all know what happened during the second term: the vice president, on one of his hunting trips, accidentally filled a fellow hunter full of birdshot. But that’s beside the point. The point is, many Americans consider hunting and fishing...

The survey, conducted by Braun Research, polled 1,009 sportsmen of which 45% said they’d vote for McCain, while 31% tilted toward Obama. Asked whom they’d rather hunt with, 49% said McCain, 27% answered Obama. As a fishing partner, 44% favored McCain over Obama (31%). “They’re just not sure how much fun Barack Obama would be in a duck blind,” said Steve Sanetti

An unusual move by President Bush to promote hunting on federal lands is calling attention to so-called sportsmen's issues, which presidential candidates have largely neglected on the stump in recent months. Last week, Mr. Bush issued an executive order instructing federal agencies to "manage wildlife and wildlife habitats on public lands in a manner that expands and enhances hunting opportunities." The order also encourages federal officials to respect "state management authority over wildlife resources." The order was immediately hailed by the National Rifle Association, which described the action as "groundbreaking." "Anti-hunting groups have long fought to dismantle public hunting land...

The owner of The Dish Network said Thursday it pulled the Outdoor Life Network from its system after the cable channel failed to provide NHL games to the nation's second-largest satellite television provider. EchoStar Communications Corp. spokesman Marc Lumpkin said the network did not show games on Oct. 10-11 and on Monday and Tuesday as advertised. "We were not given advance notice that they would not show the programming," he said. Although best known for broadcasting the Tour de France and cyclist Lance Armstrong, OLN this fall took over broadcasting National Hockey League games on cable from ESPN, a unit...

Studies: Interest in Hunting Fading By ANGIE WAGNER Associated Press Writer March 10, 2005, 2:19 PM EST As a teenager, Bryan Dinkins and his grandfather would go out before dawn on many a winter morning to hunt duck. They would quietly discuss school and life while waiting for the birds. Dinkins, now 40, hasn't been hunting in six years. He's too busy, he says, and anyway it would take six hours to drive somewhere to hunt ducks in California. It's a common lament in the new century, a time when urbanization and hectic lives can get in the way of...

MARSHFIELD - The composite design that Sports Illustrated used on its cover this week to pay tribute to the Red Sox and their fans as Sportsmen of the Year was designed by a Marshfield artist. Robert Silvers, 36, invented the technology that enables him to place thousands of photos in a mosaic to form a recognizable big picture. Silvers, who grew up in Plymouth, created the technology, called Photomosaics, while in graduate school at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Media Lab. His images have since appeared on the covers of Life magazine, Newsweek, Playboy and dozens of others. The Red...

Bush’s second term as president caps a long list of Election Day victories by candidates who share the values of hunters and shooters, setting the stage for a period of sportsmen-friendly leadership in Washington D.C. “With pro-gun leadership in the House and Senate, as well as the White House, we’re very optimistic about our prospects for protecting 2nd Amendment freedoms and hunting traditions, and...

Fish aren't stupid. Anybody who has watched a snook follow an artificial lure to the side of the boat then turn tail and run will agree that the old linesider can be a crafty opponent. But are fish intelligent? "Research has shown that fish are actually quite smart," said Karin Robertson, the fish empathy project manager for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. "Fish have many attributes that are often associated with higher primates." Robertson believes that there is "nothing sporting about luring defenseless animals to their deaths with the promise of food," and is encouraging anglers to...

WHICH candidate sportsmen think will most protect their hunting and fishing heritage may very well be the occupant of the White House for the next four years. Hunters and anglers may play an even greater role in the election than either camp had predicted, based on the findings of a survey released on Monday by the bipartisan Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation (CSF). The survey of licensed hunters and anglers in Florida, New Mexico, and Ohio suggests that the percentage of sportsmen who will cast votes in these key swing states will be well above the national average. Based on survey findings...

WASHINGTON - The Bush administration said Monday it will give people who hunt and fish new access to hundreds of thousands of acres of lands and streams within 17 national wildlife refuges and wetlands. The decision as the Republican National Convention was opening in New York was announced by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Asked if it might help President Bush's re-election efforts, the agency's director, Steve Williams said, "This is just another example of the president's commitment to sportsmen." "By law, Congress directed the service to consider and provide opportunities for hunting and fishing where it's compatible on...

Lonoke, AR – Today, Bush-Cheney ‘04 Chairman Governor Mike Huckabee and Bush-Cheney ‘04 “Sportsmen for Bush” Chair Forrest Wood, joined Bush-Cheney ‘04 Arkansas “Sportsmen for Bush” Co-Chairs Sheffield Nelson and Mike Freeze to announce the Arkansas “Sportsmen for Bush” Leadership Team in Lonoke, Arkansas. "President Bush is committed to upholding sportsmen's rights. He believes the hunters and fishermen of this country represent the values that have helped define America. Unlike his opponents, President Bush understands sportsmen and their needs. Southerners especially know that deeply held beliefs are more important than an accent used to dress up a presidential ticket. We...

CRAWFORD, Texas - Amid fresh violence in Iraq, President Bush discussed military operations Friday with national security aides and with three foreign leaders who have sent troops. Bush spoke by phone with Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi and Presidents Aleksander Kwasniewski of Poland and Francisco Flores of El Salvador. Nearly 3,000 Italian troops and paramilitary police are serving in Iraq, 2,400 Polish and 380 Salvadoran. Seventeen Italians have died in Iraq and one soldier each from El Salvador and Poland. Bush discussed "the current situation in Iraq" with the men, White House spokesman Scott McClellan said. "All four leaders reaffirmed their...

It all started when a hunting party that included Teddy Roosevelt killed a sow bear, only to discover afterward that she had a cub. When one of the hunters raised his rifle to dispatch the orphan in order to spare the poor creature a slower death by starvation, exposure or predation, T.R. intervened, commuted the sentence, and the cub was led off, presumably to a zoo. This compassionate gesture is better known today than any of President Roosevelt's executive decisions, treaties or other accomplishments while in offlce — thanks to a toymaker. It seems the sparing of the bear cub...

"This is really some country," says my friend Arnie Erickson. He, his young son and I make our way down a steep slope toward Otter Lake, through a grove of centuries-old spruce, some of them with trunks 4 and 5 feet thick. We're scouting for spring steelhead fishing and next fall's deer in a rugged corner of Alaska's Tongass, our country's largest national forest, which encompasses nearly 17 million acres. The pristine landscape seems serene and timeless. But as things stand now, this place is doomed. Late last month, the Bush administration announced it would exempt the Tongass National Forest...

JERUSALEM: Israel fears that after its tourists, its sports teams traveling abroad could also become prime targets for Osama Bin Laden's al-Qaeda terror network. The worry follows a newspaper report Wednesday of a thwarted attack against the Israeli football team in Malta last October. This new threat has a particular resonance in Israel, which saw 11 members of its delegation to the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich killed after they were taken hostage by the Palestinian Black September commando group. The November 28 twin attacks against Israeli tourists in Kenya, which claimed 13 victims including three Israelis, was claimed in...
