The Internal Revenue Service is investigating longtime National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre for possible criminal tax fraud related to his personal taxes, according to people familiar with the matter. Mr. LaPierre was paid $2.2 million by the NRA in 2018, the most recent year available, the nonprofit group’s public filings show. His total reported pay from 2014 to 2018 was $11.2 million.

Savannah Police say one man is facing charges after throwing an unknown object and pointing a gun at a group of protestors Saturday afternoon. 34-year-old Fredrick James of Decatur is facing charges of aggravated assault and reckless conduct. ALEXANDRIA, Va. – A Fairfax man pleaded guilty today to dealing in firearms without a license.According to court documents, Davud Sungur, 20, has never had a federal firearms license. Beginning around March 2019 through March 2020, Sungur engaged in the business of dealing in firearms through the repetitive purchase and resale of firearms. As agitators started fires and burned a flag outside the East Precinct, a woman used a machete to attack a security guard across the street. She confused him for a Seattle police officer.
