A man wielding scissors was shot by police in Queens Wednesday afternoon, according to police and sources. NYPD officers responded to a report of an emotionally disturbed person on 103rd Street in the Ozone Park section of Queens. The man was shot by officers, sources told The Post. No shots were fired at officers and no police were injured. The man’s condition following the shooting was not immediately known.

A scissor-wielding man slashed two people in apparently random attacks in the West Village Thursday morning — and then bolted to Midtown, where he was arrested, cops and law enforcement sources said. A rather short and stocky "teacher" is shown grabbing a pair of scissors with which to protect himself and his students should a crazed NRA-member gunman attack.
