Lame-duck Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz made a stunning about-face after the federal raids on Minnesota day care centers Tuesday — after previously denouncing fraud investigations as “white supremacy.” In a thread on X, Walz — the 2024 Democratic nominee for vice president — said he was putting criminals “on notice” and tried to take credit for the investigations. “If you commit fraud in Minnesota you’re going to get caught — and that’s exactly what we saw today. We catch criminals when state and federal agencies share information. Joint investigations work, and securing justice depends on it,” he wrote. “Today’s raids...

MINNEAPOLIS — The infamous Somali immigrant-run “Quality Learing Center” in Minneapolis was abandoned on Wednesday — a day after the FBI raided the daycare and about 20 other local operations as part of an investigation into allegations of massive social services fraud in Minnesota. The business’s misspelled sign has been removed, and replaced with a sign warning visitors that security cameras are in use. The building itself — which was painted a spearmint-like color when The Post was there in December — has been repainted a more neutral slate-blue hue, and a pair of “no trespassing” signs were newly hung...

WASHINGTON — The Department of Justice held off on searching President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate for classified documents until then-President Joe Biden could receive a “brief” and officials could “coordinate” with the White House Counsel’s office, according to unclassified emails obtained by The Post. The emails undercut Biden’s claim that he had no prior knowledge of the FBI raid on his political rival’s home. They also reveal the desire by at least one top DOJ official to charge ahead with a dramatic search, saying he didn’t “give a damn about the optics.” The communications, which were first reported by Fox News,...

President Trump and other top officials were caught watching the Venezuelan raid in real-time. Obama watching the bin Laden raid in the Situation Room was a similar moment and photo op. But someone was missing in the Trump photos: Vice President JD Vance. Where was he? Even Biden was sitting next to Obama when Seal Team Six finally greased bin Laden. Vance was kept away because the administration was becoming uneasy about having both men in the exact location, given the security conditions. It was a designated survivor scenario. Vance was involved with the raid: “Vice President Vance was deeply...

The public unveiling of the Biden administration’s lawfare campaign against a past president and political rival came on Aug. 8, 2022, the day the FBI descended on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in search of classified documents. It was a shocking moment, the first time in history federal law-enforcement had acted against a former president. More shocking: It didn’t have to be that way. The Justice Department insisted on it. That’s the disturbing information contained in emails released this week by the Senate Judiciary Committee. In missives spanning the summer of 2022, FBI officials expressed alarm and forcefully pushed back against...
