Demaryius Thomas, a former Pro Bowl wide receiver and Super Bowl champion with the Denver Broncos, has reportedly died. He was 33. The cause of Thomas’ death wasn’t immediately known. Former Pro Bowl running back Clinton Portis and other retired NFL players have been charged by a federal grand jury with defrauding the NFL's retiree health care benefits plan for more than $3 million, according to two indictments unsealed Thursday. Unwisely taking a page from the NHL All-Star Game, the National Football League announced today that it will further cheapen its annual Pro Bowl by scrapping the AFC vs. NFC format adapted in 1971.
