The Democrats created them back in the 60’s and 70’s, thinking that they would help them keep control of the state legislatures. But they had the exact opposite effect.

In Florida, when the Democrats were in control for decades and decades, they created these ‘minority’ districts, some with wild snake-like dimensions in order to crowd all the black voters into one district.

But in order to do so, they had to pull them out of neighboring districts that then became Republican leaning districts because of the Dems sanctimonious redistricting and they wound up losing the State House and the Senate.

So, the Dems figured that once the Republicans got control, they would dismantle these minority districts.

But they didn’t.

So now they are stuck with them, like them or not.

This case from Louisiana may actually help the Democrats win back seats in the state houses and Congress...............

What I don’t get is that the Party of Death’s “media” toads claim that the Aho Of Congress (AOC) and the Hogg Boy are trying to get rid of all of the “demented old DemonRats and have “da young dummys” take over the Party of Death. Kiry, I don’t understand something maybe you can help me with. As a disclaimer, I am mostly neutral in the Ukraine Russian war, although I lean a bit to Russia mainly because of the way they protected Christians in Syria, and because I believe the bad guys (Soros, et al) had/have a hand in the overthrow of the legitimate government in 2014 and are currently using Ukraine and the war for their purposes.

That said, I am perplexed as to why Putin simply doesn’t accept the Trump ideas of ceasefire at current lines, etc. clearly, Russia is paying a high price for trying to get 20% more land. If Putin were to agree to stop where they are at, he gets most of his goal, and gives Trump a reason to not continue military support for Ukraine. If Putin refuses Trumps proposals, then Trump probably gives Ukraine better weapons (up to and maybe including Tomahawks) which certainly will cause Russia increasing damage and losses. It simply doesn’t make sense to me.

I loathe the income tax ... but paying income tax is a reasonable proxy for being someone who actually supports and pays for the government. Welfare recipients pay sales tax ... out of tax money handed to them by the government in exchange for nothing. They’re not actually paying for or supporting the government, so they should have no say in how the government is to be operated.

Giving the fairer sex the vote appears to have cooked our fiscal goose.

Sean Hannity must read FR comments. The last CR situation before thus one, the one in which Schumer decided to vote in favor and got in trouble with AOC, after it passed, Hannity started his show with a similar sentiment to what you are expressing.
