Most were universally impressed by the Amish’s support of the widow. Or at least I didn’t see condemnations like on this thread.

I think you are right about Ukraine using that valley corridor the Russians need to use to supply or rescue their isolated soldiers to then kill those Russians. Nothing like holding the high ground to win a battle. Think how nice it will be when those isolated soldiers either surrender or are killed and Ukraine can reclaim that territory. Nothing better than being able to subtract reclaimed square miles from the paltry few Russia likes to brag about winning while destroying so many of Russia’s soldiers in the process.

The pattern is obvious. The genie is out of the bottle. There is no benefit of the doubt to be had or given. The allegations are supported by the facts. “Free Palestine” is the new “Allah hu akbar”. “By any means necessary” means exactly what it says.

Trump’s got an Eye of Sauron thing going on, except it’s a lighthouse, with a brilliant fresnel-focused light beam, whirling around, intermittently illuminating dark corners that probably haven’t seen light since the eighties. With people and government programs in those corners desperately scrambling to find remaining shadow and avoid detection if at all possible.

Trump needs a third term but if his speech to the flag rank officers the other day is any indication, he needs a few vacations to recharge.

I believe the strategy for the Ukrainians is two fold.
Attrit the cut off Russians without unnecessary losses to Ukrainian forces IE drone and artillery strikes and use the trapped troops as bait for Russian rescue forces to be destroyed as they approach the contact line.

Again the Ukrainians are in a good position to attrit these “rescue” forces without losing their own.

As long as these pockets exist the Russians will be forced to try and link up with them and supply them using up valuable manpower and resources they can’t use elsewhere.

Good observation. I’ve seen it.

But the knowledge that we all will stand before the Judgment seat one day will hopefully ameliorate this, at least somewhat. We all are accountable to God.

This 5+ minute video with maps illustrates Ukraine success in slicing through a Russian salient to isolate 2 pockets of desperate Russian troops. These are reported to be from units favored by Putin and known as the Butchers of Bucha. In Bucha Russian troops early in the war captured a small village and murdered and otherwise committed war crimes against a civilian population and town representatives. Needless to say the surrounded Russians are desperate to be rescued. but Ukraine troops have successfully gained the high ground and have direct fire on the low ground that separates these marooned soldiers from their Russian comrades.

So the local police took an attempted murder confession from an elderly demented man. They could interview others in the old age home to meet their monthly quota. Many people have a family member they would like dead, but never act on it.

This sounds too much like a local case I was involved with. An old neighbor, (a judge) and his wife were childless, but the judge had an illegitimated daughter from an old liaison forty years prior. As the judge was getting on, and then his wife died, he wrote out a new will, and asked my Dad and another neighbor to witness it, then he filed it at the courthouse. A year later, he died, (with an estate of several millions) and a nephew, whom the old judge despised produced a will five years older than the one Dad had witnessed, and got EVERYTHING.... the will the judge signed was never found, strangely... When enough money is involved, you don’t know what can happen.

If he filed his will with the register of wills in the courthouse and it disappeared, that is very strange. That sounds like petty local corruption. Wills disappear at home all of the time, which is why they can be registered in the courthouse. Sounds like the nephew was connected to people in the courthouse and paid someone off. Another method I've heard to is to have a P.O. box and mail the will to it, and just leave it in the box. It's far better to leave the will with the intended beneficiary.

Skin cell nuclei are diploid...having a full complement of DNA. Sperm and ova are haploid...half of a full complement. I didn’t see anything in the article about using a skin cell undergoing mitosis, when it would be split into two strands of DNA...but hey, journalists.

Check the article again, it is still a “sperm & egg” thing (2 sets of genes)...the donor egg part get “cleared” genetically and the skin DNA gets added to the egg. Not sure why the article says “same-sex” couples instead of “male homosexuals”...because the technique as described would not work for female same-sex couples.
