Jill Biden conceded Monday that if she had to do it all over again, she would not advise husband Joe Biden to seek re-election. “Would I want to put Joe through the hurt and the pain that we felt during that time? Never, never. I mean, it was so hurtful,” she told NBC’s “Today” show ahead of the Tuesday release of her memoir, “View from the East Wing.” But, the former first lady added, the decision about whether to run again “had to be his decision alone” and “the doctors said he was healthy” enough to serve four more years.

Former President Joe Biden sued the Department of Justice late Tuesday to block the release of dozens of hours of audio connected to a now-shuttered investigation into his handling of classified documents. At issue: Seventy hours of audio recordings and transcripts dating back to 2017, which are records of conversations between the former president and Mark Zwonitzer, an author who worked with Biden on a memoir about the death of his son, Beau. The records were obtained by the Justice Department by then-Special Counsel Robert Hur, who was appointed by then-Attorney General Merrick Garland in 2023 to investigate Biden.

Circuit but simultaneously requested that she rescind her order. Reyes heard arguments from both sides on Thursday. She said she was denying the government’s motion and would issue a written order before Feb. 19, which is the next deadline in the appellate court case....

A Georgia man who was granted clemency by former President Joe Biden in December has been arrested following a weeks-long investigation into an armed bank robbery, the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) announced. Marshall Foskey, 66, of Pembroke, Georgia, is currently jailed and facing charges of armed burglary, armed robbery, armed kidnapping, felony possession of a firearm, and grand theft. Foskey has a lengthy criminal history, including multiple felony burglary charges. The investigation began on October 10 at the First Federal Bank on State Road 200. Investigators say Foskey allegedly displayed a firearm and ordered staff to empty cash drawers....
