NILES — Two people have been arrested for arson at the Niles Walmart. Paula Kryski and Stephen Taghon have been arrested for the October 31 incident. Right now they're being held at the St. Joseph County jail before being transferred to Berrien County. Taghon is facing third degree arson and larceny. Kryski is charged with conspiracy to commit arson.

(AP)— A longtime suburban mayor was arrested Thursday on federal charges of steering business to a friend's insurance agency in return for bribes over almost two decades. Nicholas Blase, mayor of Niles for 45 years, was arrested as he left his house on his 78th birthday. I was watching Frasier last Tuesday night and Niles has become interested in Guns. Frasier insults Niles and says that he's going to be "square dancing" next. Anyways Niles manages to get his Dad and Frasier to go to a gun show. Frasier and the Dad consented because it was some guy named Mith's birthday.
