Nineteen years ago, during a northeastern storm, Matt Lauer was at the height of his public fame and private infamy. While hosting the Today Show, Lauer cut to a field reporter named Michelle Kosinski who was doing a "live" shot. She was in Wayne, New Jersey reporting on the storm. Perhaps Kosinski was looking for some stolen valor or an Emmy, or maybe she just lacked self-awareness—in any event, the shot showed Kosinski sitting in a canoe with a paddle in hand. The rest became an internet legend.

On the surface, Trump supporters are “well-educated and successful” professionals, but underneath that veneer we’re monsters… who want to make America great again. At least, that’s what Michelle Kosinksi thinks, because a first hand experience enjoying dinner with supporters of the president has left a permanent impression that will “haunt” her. Here’s the story, from Fox News:Ex-CNN reporter Michelle Kosinski wrote in a Sunday social media post that she was surprised by how ‘normal’ a group of ‘closeted’ Trump supporters seemed at a dinner she attended, which she said continues to ‘haunt’ her.‘All were well-educated and successful in careers. Former President Donald Trump announced he is endorsing Christine Serrano Glassner in her bid to represent New Jersey in the U.S. Senate amid a heavily-watched race for the seat of incumbent Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez. "She’s a fantastic woman," Trump said about Serrano Glassner, mayor of Mendham Borough, during a New Jersey rally on Saturday. "I’m giving her my complete and total endorsement." His endorsement comes less than a month before the state is scheduled to hold its Republican Senate primary. Trump also said Serrano Glassner's GOP opponent Curtis Bashaw is a supporter of New Jersey Republican Gov. Chris Christie,...

Trump: Is there anything better than a Trump rally? These liberal singers, they actually vote for me. You know, like Bruce Springsteen. We have a much bigger crowd than Bruce Springsteen. Right? pic.twitter.com/avB1njR58v — Acyn (@Acyn) May 11, 2024 A spokesperson for the city of Wildwood backed Trump’s claim. Lisa Fagan told The Associated Press she estimated the crowd had to be between 80,000 and 100,000 people, based on her observations of smaller events which took place in the same space. But footage from the rally made those stats fairly hard to believe. While Trump fans packed the rafters behind...

By now, you all know that the turnout at President Donald Trump’s rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, was one for the record books. However, that didn’t occur in a vacuum. It is, instead, a portent of a tide strongly turning in his direction. That doesn’t mean Democrat shenanigans won’t cause trouble in November, but it does show a country ready to abandon Biden’s disastrous presidency. The estimates are that 80,000 to 100,000 people attended the rally, although, naturally, leftists are already quibbling with the numbers, just as they did on Trump’s inauguration. Ignore those quibbles. Let your eyes tell you...

I wrote about the run-up to former President Donald Trump's speech in Wildwood, New Jersey, that you had people camping out on the beach since Thursday to make sure they got seats at the rally. I have a friend there who camped out Friday night and woke up to hundreds around him this morning, who were there already, long before the 5 p.m. speech. It was taking on a Woodstock kind of a feel and yes, they were registering people to vote. The energy here in Wildwood is ELECTRIC! I’ve never seen so many young people at a Trump rally....

Former president tells 100,000 supporters people from mental institutions are being let into US Donald Trump praised “the late great Hannibal Lecter” as a “wonderful man” at a rare campaign rally while complaining that the Biden administration was admitting migrants from insane asylums into the US. During a 90-minute speech in front of an estimated 100,000 supporters in Wildwood, New Jersey – a record for a political rally in the state – the former president baffled his crowd by recalling the 1991 horror films. “He oftentimes would have a friend for dinner,” he said. “But Hannibal Lecter. This Mother's Day weekend is a very special one for Silvia Povolo, as she gets to watch not one, but five of her children graduate from college in the same commencement ceremony! Quintuplets Ludovico, Ashley, Michael, Victoria, and Marcus were born to Paul and Silvia Povolo on July 4, 2002. This weekend, the quints will all be graduating with different degrees after being awarded full scholarships to Montclair State University near their home in New Jersey. The parents say that, while raising five kids the same age was a challenge at times, it went by very fast.

Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey faces his second, distinct bribery and corruption trial in seven years starting Monday. This new case is a complicated affair involving multiple gold bars, envelopes of cash, a Mercedes and a lot more that, prosecutors say, the powerful former chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and his new wife (they got married during the alleged bribery scheme) obtained in exchange for helping a halal meat monopoly, granting favors for people from Egypt and Qatar and trying to influence a New Jersey prosecution.

Donald Trump Saturday campaigned in New Jersey, but social media was focused on someone he pointed to in the crowd. Trump delivered remarks at a rally in Wildwood, New Jersey. The former president's introduction included a mention of his "golfing friends." "He's doing quite a great job. What do you think, Lawrence? Doing a great job!" the ex-president said at his weekend. "Look at those to guys, O.J., Lawrence, my golfing friends. We don't have to agree on everything!" Former President Donald Trump criticized President Joe Biden for setting “the world on fire” and referred to comments made earlier this week that he would withhold weapons and artillery from Israel. During a rally at Wildwood, New Jersey, on Saturday, Trump referred to comments Biden made during a CNN interview in which he said he would withhold weapons from Israel if it invaded Rafah, Hamas’s last stronghold. Biden’s comments came days after Hamas had fired a barrage of rockets from Rafah toward the Kerem Shalom border crossing, which is used as the main entry point for humanitarian aid entering the...

Rutgers University students drowned out anti-Israel protestors with the Star-Spangled Banner and chants of 'USA' amid hostile clashes on campuses across the nation. The New Jersey institution played host to a Gaza Encampment for four days, before a deal was reached with administrators to bring the protests to an end on Thursday. Footage from the encampment hours before it was shut down saw patriotic students descend on the demonstration, where Hamas-supporters showed their frustration at being counter-protested.

Princeton University students took over an administrative building at the Ivy League school Monday afternoon, according to the Princeton Gaza Solidarity Encampment, while Rutgers University protestors have set up an encampment of at least a dozen tents on Voorhees Mall in New Brunswick. The escalating protests come five days after Princeton arrested two students Thursday for starting to put up tents. Protestors there have continued their presence on McCosh Courtyard, with teach-ins and visiting poets, as they called on the university to divest its investments from firms profiting from the Israel-Hamas war. Similar encampments have led to weeks of tensions...
