This editor just finished a post on CNN’s epic-length piece consulting drag scholars and historians about America’s rich history of drag shows, arguing that this history might prevent current efforts to push drag “underground”; i.e., away from children. A federal court ruling over a ban on women going topless in public has essentially made it legal for women to go topless in public in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Kansas, and Oklahoma, according to a local TV station. Lawmakers are scheduled to debate these and several other issues during Wednesday's legislative session, beginning at 10 a.m. A committee recommends passing a bill that would make indecent exposure or lewdness in front of a minor a felony rather than a misdemeanor. By a vote of 10-4, the House Judiciary Committee recommends killing a bill "providing life begins at conception," which would outlaw abortion. Several bills aimed at limiting access to abortions are before the House this session.

REXBURG - Several indecent exposure incidents on the afternoon of April 30 have led to felony charges against a Rexburg man. Travis Lee Martin, 22, a Brigham Young University-Idaho student, was charged Monday with two counts of sexual abuse of a child under 16, both felonies.
