As RedState reported, the Michigan Democrat Senate primary has had some interesting developments over the last week, with perhaps the most notable one being that one of the three candidates, state Sen. Mallory McMorrow, suspended her campaign. She didn't endorse either of the remaining two, Rep. Haley Stevens (MI-11) and former Wayne County health director Abdul El-Sayed, stating that "Whoever wins this primary on Aug. 4 will have my full support." Another notable moment came when CNN, of all places, fact-checked a wildly false claim El-Sayed made about how he did not support defunding the police, while suggesting old tweets...

El-Sayed leads Stevens in the Democratic primary, while Rogers remains within the margin of error against all three tested Democrats.Michigan’s 2026 U.S. Senate race begins as one of the clearest tests of the midterm map. Democratic incumbent Gary Peters is not seeking another term, creating an open-seat contest in a state Donald Trump carried in 2024. It is also the only open Democratic-held Senate seat up in a Trump-won state, making Michigan one of the central battlegrounds for Senate control. (See crosstabs and technical report here). Our latest Quantus Insights survey of 947 Michigan voters finds the general election highly...

Michigan state Senator Mallory McMorrow has dropped out of the U.S. Senate campaign, according to a report from the Detroit News. Democrat voters in Michigan must choose between socialist Abdul El-Sayed and U.S. Democrat Rep. Haley Stevens (MI-11) to fill the U.S. Senate seat. Whoever voters choose is expected to face off against Republican candidate Mike Rogers in November.

Progressive champion Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is taking sides in a high-profile Democratic Senate primary that's seen as the next major showdown between the far left and the party establishment. Ocasio-Cortez on Thursday endorsed Abdul El-Sayed in battleground Michigan, in the race to succeed retiring Democratic Sen. Gary Peters. El-Sayed, who if elected would make history as the nation's first Muslim senator, has long been backed by another progressive champion, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. He is facing off with two more moderate candidates, including centrist Rep. Haley Stevens, who is tacitly supported by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. Schumer and...

Washington, D.C. – In case you missed it, Michigan Congresswoman Haley Stevens introduced the Hold ICE Accountable Act, legislation to establish an independent Special Prosecutor to investigate unlawful conduct by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) personnel, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This bill is her latest in a series of efforts to stand up to ICE, demand transparency, and fight for accountability after a pattern of violence, misconduct, and lack of oversight. Here’s what Michiganders are seeing and reading about Rep. Haley Stevens fighting to ensure accountability at every level of ICE, from the bottom to the top, so...

Michigan Democrat Mallory McMorrow, a candidate running for US Senate, deleted thousands of tweets, some of which defended “coastal elites” and were critical of “Middle America,” after The Post first reported on them last year. Morrow, 39, purged her X account of roughly 6,000 posts, including all her tweets posted prior to 2020, CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski reported on Wednesday. The journalist noted the social media cleanse came after The Post’s April 2025 scoop on McMorrow’s tweet history. The deleted posts even included jabs at the purple state she is now running to represent. “Aaaand it’s snowing. Screw you, Michigan. #NYCtoLA,”...

As Michigan Democrats enter the thick of a competitive Senate primary campaign, one candidate is trying to position himself as an outsider who wants to fix a broken system and take on the oligarchy. Dr. Abdul El-Sayed is a Bernie Sanders-endorsed former public health director who has been compared to New York City’s recently elected democratic socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani. He wants Medicare for all, believes big corporations are to blame for the problems in government and the economy, and insists that Immigration and Customs Enforcement must be abolished. But El-Sayed doesn’t want to be labeled a leftist or a...

Republican Sen. Tim Scott's goal in next year's midterm elections is not only to defend the GOP's 53-47 margin in the Senate, but to expand the majority. Scott, the conservative senator from South Carolina, told Fox News Digital soon after taking over late last year as chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) that he aimed to increase the GOP's control in the chamber to at least 55 seats. And he's standing by his goal. "The bottom line is, I believe that we can defend our current seats while adding at least two more seats to our numbers," the...

On Monday’s broadcast of Bloomberg’s “Balance of Power,” Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI) stated that “We were misled” early into the conflict about Hamas’ willingness to negotiate, because “they seemed like they could negotiate,” “But they don’t care. They do not care.” And that’s why they murdered multiple hostages. Stevens said, “This is an absolutely brutal and open wound marker of a day, one year, held in captivity, in tunnels, no communication with family, no access to proper food, water, or even air in some cases. … [T]his was an attack, on October 7, on all of humanity, on free humans,...

Government, by virtue of being a business that pays its employees regardless of their aptitude or work performance, naturally draws a class of people who have few employment opportunities (if any) outside the public sector. Our “public servants” are just hopelessly stupid; who would hire them except government officials and uninformed voters?Rep. Hank Johnson worried about Guam “capsizing” if too many people were on the island at one time, Jerry Brown, who said we needed “more welfare” and fewer jobs, AOC the barmaid, doesn’t understand that illegally crossing the border is illegal, we’re still saddled with bottom-of-the-class Joe Biden and...

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has spent more than $24 million to defeat progressive candidates in this year's Democratic primaries. The United Democracy Project (UDP), an AIPAC-affiliated super PAC, has already spent $24.2 million on Democratic primaries this cycle, including millions that it raised from top Republican megadonors like Paul Singer and Bernard Marcus. The money has helped AIPAC-backed candidates wipe out progressives in primaries in Michigan, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, California and Ohio. UDP and other pro-Israel groups tied to AIPAC – Democratic Majority for Israel (DMFI), Urban Empowerment Action PAC and Pro-Israel America PAC —...

FIRST ON FOX: A Michigan Democrat claimed during a fundraiser Zoom call that the U.S. economy under President Biden is "flourishing," leading Wolverine State Republicans to push back Rep. Haley Stevens, D-Mich., not only claimed last Wednesday that the American economy was doing great, but also said it was the "best economic recovery" the U.S. has seen since the days of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. "We have an economy that is flourishing. We have literally the best economic recovery since FDR," Stevens claimed in the Zoom call. "If you want a job today, you’re going to make more money than...

More than 100 House Democrats are backing legislation introduced Friday that would lower Medicare eligibility to age 60, down from 65. VIDEO Many people are still scratching their heads over the recent rantings by Michigan Congresswoman Haley Stevens on the floor of Congress. However, this video reveals the probable cause of her antics: Demonic Possession. The good news for the Congresswoman is that the devil can be removed from her troubled soul via exorcism. Of course, a certificate of clean soul health will need to be provided by the exorcist performing her exorcism to assure her constituents that she is mentally and spiritually competent to seek another term in office.

Once the measure finally passed, the entire House erupted - in a positive way. Lisa Desjardins ✔@LisaDNews WOW and just like that, the motion is adopted....
