• Stevens defends switch: Democratic Rep. Haley Stevens told CNN her decision to back Republican Mike Rogers is “rock solid,” but refused to articulate why she changed her mind. Her surprise switch came after a deepening rift with Michigan Senate hopeful Abdul El-Sayed. Since her switch, El-Sayed has raised $1.2 million, his second-largest total in a single day. He’s leading Rogers by 11 points in a New York Times poll.
• Swift fallout: Democrats have condemned Stevens’ move, including Rep. Debbie Dingell, who expressed concern for her. Top Republicans, such as House Speaker Mike Johnson and President Donald Trump, have praised Stevens.

What I dont understand is why she didnt do this WEEKS AGO..she knew what Sayed was, she knew that Piker has been with him since day 1, so why now..and I dont think she would throw her entire career away if she knew that Sayed was going to win anyway she would have stayed home and kept her mouth shut..so she must know something
Interesting question. Does she know that internal polls show him losing?
I think we just learned that the “Big Tent” is not large enough for anyone with a functioning brain.
It has a bigger effect now before the election
Also, and probably important for her, Democrats don't have enough time to prepare a slur campaign against her, or plot revenge (which would involve internal Democrat business you and I don't understand)
Any female voting for an Islamist is suicidal.
Possible explanations include:
1. She has morals (and doesn't care about possible repercussions to herself).
2. She plans to switch parties (in which case attacking Sayed will only burnish her reputation).
Regards,
“She has morals (and doesn’t care about possible repercussions to herself).”
Add to that that she loves her children, grandchildren, etc., more than she hates Trump, and she cares about what kind of country they’ll have.
Anyone Jewish from West Bloomfield voting .Demoncrat. never saw "Fiddler on the Roof".
The greatest *genius* of Einstein was to NOT return to Berlin for his household belongings in 1933 while visiting the US.
The greatest *Luck* was Elise "Lise" Meitner getting smuggled into Sweden by her Kaiser Wilhelm colleagues (who took credit for her work), over and despite her objections.
Which proves being really, really smart and really, really stupid is a very, very close call and can exist in the exact same space and time.

Good one Archangel
NEVER TRUST A DEMOCRAT!! THEY ARE VICIOUS! VICIOUS!
Dingell’s FATHER was in that seat also!! So there has been a DINGELBERRY in that seat for like 90 YEARS!!! 90 YEARS!!! OMG!
Her fiance’ seems to have taken the SCALES OFF HER EYES!! If Rogers wins, I would bet he gives her a job......maybe a LIASON between the 2 parties!!!
Typical NYT. They mention the one poll where Abdul is 11 points ahead, but in the RCP average he leads by only 1.7 points.
Possibly, but lots of early votes are in and can’t be changed.
