From flop to favorite. Former Vice President Kamala Harris is the preferred 2028 option by a wide margin, according to a survey of Democratic voters released Friday. The failed 2024 presidential nominee received 36% support from Democratic and Democratic-leaning independent voters in the early 2028 primary poll conducted by Morning Consult. Harris, 60, has a stunning double-digit lead over her closest potential competitor, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who garnered just 10% support from his party. … Newsom was among three possible candidates who received 5% support in the Morning Consult poll, the others being far-left “Squad” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez...

History appears to be repeating itself this week as Congress has brokered an agreement on a massive year-end catch-all spending bill... “It’s a total dumpster fire. I think it’s garbage,” GOP Rep. Eric Burlison of Missouri, who is a member of the conservative Freedom Caucus, said. “...people that celebrate DOGE [Department of Government Efficiency] coming in, and yet we’re going to vote for another billion dollars to be added to the deficit. It’s ironic,” added the lawmaker, who probably meant to say trillion dollars, given the legislation would fund the entire government until March 14.... Fellow Freedom Caucus member Rep....

Meantime, Mayor Malik Evans says we may know late today whether the boil water advisory will be extended for parts of the city. The City was told by the EPA to cover the reservoir by 2009 but was given an extension until this year.

Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that Republicans are currently a “political dumpster fire” trying to do things voters do not think is important. Murphy said, “I don’t think anybody can predict what happens in the House of Representatives. That place is a political dumpster fire until we get reasonable, thoughtful leadership that prioritizes bipartisan cooperation in the House. Every single day is going to be a bit of a nightmare for the American people.”
  • 'This is no time for foot fetishes': DeSantis responds to jabs at shoes by suggesting Trump doesn't 'have the balls' to debate him, says he'll wear a boot on his head if he does

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis continues to try and fight back against former President Donald Trump and beat allegations he wears lifts and high heels that masquerade as boots. Trump and other opponents have put out conspiracy theories that the candidate uses lifts in his boots to look taller. Speaking to Eric Bolling Thursday, DeSantis took on the claims again and tried to hit back at Trump for his lack of attendance at Republican Primary debates. 'This is no time for foot fetishes, we've got serious problems in the country,' DeSantis said, before explaining the myriad problems with the country under...

Michael Cohen, a former personal attorney for Donald Trump, said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that if Republican primary voters nominate former President Donald Trump, they will be following him to a “dumpster fire.” Cohen said, “None of these indictments, if you read them, leave any doubt in anyone’s mind that Donald Trump will be held accountable for the allegations that are raised by either Jack Smith, by Alvin Bragg, by Fani Willis. I mean, it’s very crystal clear when you read these indictments exactly what was done. It’s all backed up with documentary evidence and testimony.”

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis took aim at San Francisco, calling the city a "dumpster fire" while expressing fears over what would happen if companies there relocated to Florida. "There is cause for concern," DeSantis said during an event Monday. "Texas would have all these companies moved from California over the years. So you'd have companies move from San Francisco to Austin, and they'd bring hundreds of employees with them. And those employees would vote the exact same way they voted that turned San Francisco into the dumpster fire that it is DeSantis expressed fears that California voters could begin moving...

Joe Biden slurred through remarks on his botched Afghanistan withdrawal and tropical storm Henri on Sunday. As usual, Joe Biden called on a list of pre-approved reporters because he doesn’t have the mental capacity to answer candid questions. After giving bizarre answers to a few questions, Joe Biden fled the lectern. Biden turned around when a reporter asked him if he was going to put sanctions on the Taliban. ..... Snip..... Shortly after the US embassy sent out a warning to Americans on Saturday, the Associated Press received word of a potential ISIS threat against Americans. “Potential Islamic State threats...

The teenage daughter of Kellyanne Conway backtracked Tuesday after accusing her mother of posting a topless picture of her online, saying she believes the former Trump adviser’s phone was hacked. Claudia Conway caused a stir on Monday when she took to her TikTok account to accuse her mother of stealing her phone, finding the picture of her topless, and then posting the illicit photo to her Twitter account under the new Fleets feature, which automatically deletes all posts after 24 hours. “Apparently that’s real and here’s what I guess happened,” Claudia Conway said in a video montage that was saved...

According to recent polls, 65% of all Americans now support Black Lives Matter (BLM). Why do so many Americans support an “organization” that is avowedly dedicated to the proposition that America is evil and must be fundamentally transformed? Because the Republican establishment has made remarkably little effort to expose BLM as the revolutionary and totalitarian movement that it is. Leading Republicans do not seem to understand that George Floyd’s death was the excuse for the current crisis, not the cause of it. The chaos in our streets—led by BLM, supported by Democrats, and propelled by higher education—is for all intents...

A dumpster fire is a perfect metaphor for our world's newest country, CHAZ. If you haven't heard, there is an "autonomous zone" located in Seattle, Washington on Capitol Hill. They are calling it CHAZ (Capital Hill Autonomous Zone). Here is a great explanation of CHAZ: .....
  • The racial divide in the Red Sox’ visit to Trump’s White House is impossible to ignore

    05/09/2019 5:07:17 AM PDT · by Altura Ct. · 30 replies
Boston Red Sox Manager Alex Cora recently discovered the “mute” function on Twitter, which has come in handy in the aftermath of his decision, first revealed over the weekend by a newspaper in his native Puerto Rico, to skip the defending World Series champions’ scheduled visit to the White House on Thursday. But to date, no such button exists for real life. And so, on Monday afternoon in the visitors’ dugout at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Cora patiently answered questions for a third straight day about that decision — as the team’s White House visit is increasingly framed as...

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Tuesday wrote a letter to all 32 league owners regarding the protests that have taken place during the national anthem, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported. In the letter, which Schefter shared on his Facebook page, Goodell wrote that the “current dispute over the National Anthem is threatening to erode the unifying power of our game, and is now dividing us, and our players, from many fans across the country.” Last year, former San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick sat down and later took a knee during the playing of the national anthem as protest against racial injustice....
