Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has better odds than ever of being confirmed by the U.S. Senate after Wednesday’s committee hearing, a chance for Democrats to grill the Trump nominee that they instead squandered on misguided questions about his past stances, one CNN commentator stated. A “big mistake” by Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee may have cost them the opportunity to block Kennedy’s nomination to head Health and Human Services, a sprawling bureaucracy responsible for approximately a quarter of all federal spending. Rather than highlight their areas of agreement, far-left progressive icons Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT) drove...

Gavin Newsom said he has called Donald Trump to discuss the wildfires emergency, but still hasn’t heard back from the President-elect. Newsom sent a letter Friday urging Trump – who has been starkly critical of the governor’s policies and response since the outbreak last week – asking for him to lay down arms and come see the devastation for himself. A Fox LA reporter speaking with Newsom Saturday asked how that conversation was going. “I’d like the President of the United States, at least the President-elect, to come and visit the people out here whose lives have been completely torn...

California was getting ready to fight President-elect Donald Trump. Instead, it's fighting raging wildfires and a crisis that risks tarnishing the state's image just as its leaders were positioning it to be a shining example of progressive governance. A special session of the state Legislature that Gov. Gavin Newsom called shortly after the November election to position California to counter Trump has been overshadowed by the wildfires, the speed of which seemed to catch many officials off guard. Newsom and other California Democrats have long held the state up as a national leader in addressing environmental issues, social inequality and...

Some leftists are so spiteful over the outcome of the election that they’re planning to not spend any money once Trump is sworn in as president. Most people are expecting the economy to improve under Trump and these people don’t want that to happen, or at least don’t want Trump to get any credit for it. They would rather that people remain miserable than see Trump and the country do well. Breitbart News reports: Leftists Pledge to Load Up on Supplies Before Biden Leaves Office, Buy Nothing ‘for the Next Four Years’ to Tank Trump Economy Leftists have a master...

A group called “White Dudes for Harris” is set to hold a virtual meeting on Monday evening to “help” elect Vice President Kamala Harris as the next president. In a sign-up form for a meeting on Monday, July 29, the group wrote that it was not “going to sit around and let the MAGA crowd bully other white guys into voting for a hateful and divisive ideology.” The meeting is reportedly set to take place at 8:00 p.m. ET.

There's an old story that Benjamin Franklin was approached after exiting the Constitutional Convention, and he was asked what sort of a government they had created. His response was, "A republic, if you can keep it." Virtually everyone who learned anything from their middle school/junior high school government class learned that we are a Constitutional Republic, although now I wonder if everyone is actually taught this anymore.

“I had the hormonal urges,” said Prof Camille Parmesan, a leading climate scientist based in France. “Oh my gosh, it was very strong. But it was: ‘Do I really want to bring a child into this world that we’re creating?’ Even 30 years ago, it was very clear the world was going to hell in a handbasket. I’m 62 now and I’m actually really glad I did not have children.” Parmesan is not alone. An exclusive Guardian survey has found that almost a fifth of the female climate experts who responded have chosen to have no children, or fewer children,...

Legal analysts are accusing Judge Aileen Cannon of pro-Donald Trump bias after indefinitely suspending his classified documents case. Cannon, a Trump appointee, indefinitely postponed the trial on Tuesday, citing legal disputes around classified evidence. Cannon said there were eight outstanding substantive pending motions for her to rule on and predicted this will take until at least late July. It is unknown whether the case will begin before the November 2024 presidential election. If elected, Trump has a number of options to kill the trial, including pardoning himself or appointing a favorable attorney general to drop the charges. Cannon is overseeing...

@JDVance1 I just sent the below memo to every one of my Republican colleagues in Congress. Buried in the bill’s text is an impeachment time bomb for the next Trump presidency if he tries to stop funding the war in Ukraine. We must vote against this disastrous bill.

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Greg Gutfeld expressed his concern about the future by making a bizarre connection between the Israel-Palestine conflict and the call-out of white privilege in America. While commenting on the conflict and the pro-Palestine protests that are going on all over the world, including in the US, the host suggested that there might be a conflict borne out of the criticism of colonization in the current times. Greg Gutfeld claims terms like 'white privilege' are used for shaming The Fox host then took a strange turn in his discussion to make claims about...

The deadly surprise offensive by Hamas militants on Israel over the weekend threatens to ignite tensions between moderate and progressive Democrats already divided over the Jewish state’s treatment of Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. For President Joe Biden, that long-simmering discord is at risk of mushrooming into a divisive intraparty clash over the US government’s next moves – especially as Israel launches what it has promised will be a ferocious crackdown on Gaza – that could ultimately threaten the liberal coalition so crucial to his reelection strategy. Early signs of Democratic infighting and anxieties over potentially difficult...
