Newsom may be the front runner now, but it is still two years before the voting in Iowa and New Hampshire, and except for incumbent presidents, whoever is in the lead this early ALWAYS loses. There is too much time for Newsom to say something that will derail his campaign. Does everyone remember Edmund Muskie?

As for Shapiro, Kamala Harris wouldn’t pick him for a running mate because he’s Jewish. Is there any reason to believe the Democrats will get over their anti-Semitism before 2028?

Back in the 1970s, there was a Jack in the Box in Maitland, FL, and my family ate there regularly. When it closed, I did not see or hear from that company for the next fifty years. Then last summer I discovered a Jack in the Box in Louisville, and I thought I would order dinner from them to see how things have changed. The changes weren’t for the better. Jack in the Box is NOT fast food anymore; I had to wait half an hour in the drive-through lane for my order! Therefore I don’t see myself visiting Jack in the Box again anytime soon.
