Chuck Gray, of Casper, said in a statement suspending his campaign Tuesday. Former President Donald Trump last week endorsed Cheyenne lawyer Harriet Hageman in the Republican U.S. House primary. Forty-eight percent of the 600 likely voters polled Tuesday and Wednesday said they would vote for Stabenow, while 35 percent backed Bouchard, the Oakland County sheriff. A new, exclusive News Ten survey is out tonight with Governor Jennifer Granholm widening her lead over Republican challenger Dick DeVos. Fifty-percent of the people surveyed in the Epic-MRA poll said they will vote for the incumbent, while 42 percent say will vote for DeVos. Bouchard's strong primary win may have given him a slight bounce. An eight-point deficit in a Democratic leaning state is a tough challenge for the Republican candidate, Stabenow is barely over the 50% level of support. Earlier in the year she enjoyed a twenty-point lead over the Republican.
