Michigan is a lost cause. It's too far left of a state to elect a republican senator or governor these days. Is it no wonder why terrorists love to congregate there? The only thing going for MI now is the Wolverines who are on their way to becoming #1 in the country and soon to be national champs.

As MI's economy continues its (not so) slow slide into the toilet, the state will become deeper and deeper blue.We can only hope that while this is happening, they'll lose population as are MA,NY and RI.

Nothing really. I think she's always led by over 10 points... but right after the primary Bouchard got a bit of an inflated bounce which made the margin 7 or 8 points for a couple of weeks.

Isn't the SW section of MI north of IN conservative? That may be all that is conservative in that ultraliberal bastion.

I think all of Michigan is moderate or nominally conservative, save Detroit. It's the same principle as the Illinois Syndrome, where Chicago dictates the entire state's political fate.

Ping to Survey USA poll in Michigan. Stabenow up 13. DeVos and Granholm tied.

Two points:
1) If Bouchard or Butler had emerged as a significant leader in polls before the primary StabUsAll would not be so far ahead, it's about name recognition so far. If you saw how pathetic The Cow's ads were you wouldn't vote for her even if you were a lib. She won over a do-nothing GOP senator Abraham by a sliver, it's possible to close the gap as unemployment just hit 7.1% this month.
2) Granholm is not going to be re-elected, MI goes red for a DeVos Governor and you can bookmark that.
Granholm victory in November would likely rank as a surprise

Detroit, Flint, Saginaw, elitist Ann Arbor and a few other pockets including voter fraud split the state about 50-50 in general terms.
The state house is GOP.
The state senate is GOP.
The state Supreme Court is considered to be on the conservative side.

Hey, I admit Carr has had some Carr wrecks but he's not the worse coach out there. I give him credit for going out and getting back some old coaches who did have success (ie offence and defensive coordinators).
Anything can happen but I will hold hope that Michigan will go undefeated as they head into the OSU game. That will be the game of the year if it ends both teams are still undefeated.

Old news. Don't live in the past. It's a new year an Michigan is back! Lets just hope they don't revert to their old way of winning the big one and then letting their gaurd down and losing to Purdue or Minnesota.

I'd worry more about Wisconsin coming up here this week.
They have a good defense....
And it's not Old News until the ball is kicked on the first kickoff....

No problem...just tweaking you.
I have a lot of Michigan friends who are delusional this week and only 2 weeks ago were telling me how they were going to go 7-5 and fire Carr.
Go figure...sports...that's why you play the games.
