Joe Biden and Kamala Harris repeatedly say they want to help the poor and middle classes but their policies, which caused inflation to soar, have absolutely destroyed the dollar’s purchasing power. People can no longer afford to patronize the establishments they’ve always patronized, because they are living paycheck-to-paycheck, have already depleted their savings, and have run up credit card debt to unsustainable levels—and these chains are falling like dominos. Now, Big Lots is the latest casualty, and preparing for bankruptcy: ... Dollar Tree and Dollar General are also facing significant headwinds. ... Inflation has significantly risen because of direct actions...

I'm in the market for a new job, and I noticed today that the local Big Lots has an ad out for a store manager. I'm curious to know if anyone here works for the company- if so, how is the company to work for? What would be a reasonable salary to expect as a store manager? Is the company full of O-bots in the upper levels? General stuff like that :)

Big Lots Inc. is closing 126 underperforming stores and all 41 of its freestanding furniture outlets. Big Lots (NYSE: BLI), which operates 14 stores in Western Washington, didn't say which ones would close, though many are expected to be in small or rural markets. The closures are part of a restructuring process that will cost the Columbus, Ohio-based closeout retailer $60 million this year. The charges will cut Big Lots' 2005 profit by around 35 cents a share. Because of the charges, Big Lots said can no longer make a guess at its 2005 profit. The company said last February...
