An appeals court Wednesday rejected California’s mandate that federal immigration agents wear identification, asserting it violates the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution. California’s No Vigilantes Act, signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom last year, requires nonuniformed law enforcement officers to display their agency and name or badge number during arrests, detentions, and crowd control enforcement. The law, aimed at regulating Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, established misdemeanor penalties for noncompliant agents. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals reversed a district court ruling upholding the law.

Eric Swalwell was spotted scurrying toward a black SUV outside his family home in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday — as the Los Angeles County DA confirmed its reviewing his criminal rape case for charges. Waters didn’t pull any punches when discussing Metallica frontman James Hetfield. The Pink Floyd rocker was a guest on the Katie Halper Show podcast, where the topic of politics’ place in music was brought up. We’re here to forget about all of the outside s—. Metallica's agenda is love, energy, and heavy music, baby In response to those comments, Waters tore into Hetfield. “Can we stop talking about...

Silicon Valley relies on foreign talent to compete in the global AI race. Some tech leaders say that’s a national security risk. On paper, Abdulrahman Alfozan seemed like an ideal candidate for one of Silicon Valley’s most coveted artificial intelligence jobs. The Saudi national attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and landed an engineering job at Meta, according to his LinkedIn page and online records. Alfozan later secured a green card, spoke enthusiastically on a podcast about his Silicon Valley career and was invited to speak at Stanford University, all while working as a part-time partner at a venture capital...

From gas prices to Lindsay Clancy, the left is out of control. If the 2026 midterm campaigns have brought anything to light, it's the chaotic, two-faced nature of the now-Marxist left. We know that they will go to any lengths to protect illegal migrants, no matter how violent. No matter how many crimes they commit, they release them onto the streets of their sanctuary cities and blame ICE for any injuries incurred when these illegal criminals attempt to flee rather than submit to law enforcement. So, there can be no doubt that our so-called progressives care more for these invaders...

Former Vice President Kamala Harris laid out her political vision in Seoul on Wednesday — a vision that, rather than being a scathing assault on the Trump administration, was somewhat aligned with the MAGA playbook. Ms. Harris, the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee, was in South Korea at the invitation of the Asan Institute, a prominent Seoul think tank, to deliver its annual memorial lecture. The lecture cut a broad swath, linking geopolitics and U.S. alliances to the race for primacy in global tech and the import of secure supply chains. Given the timing — less than three weeks ahead of...

The Taiwanese chipmaker has sent teams to Texas to evaluate expansion beyond Arizona, where its planned investment has reached $265 billion. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) is evaluating Texas for additional U.S. chip production and has confirmed discussions about potentially using manufacturing capacity at Elon Musk’s planned Terafab semiconductor complex. TSMC Chairman and CEO C.C. Wei disclosed the developments during the company’s third-quarter earnings conference on Oct. 15, saying major American customers have been requesting more U.S. manufacturing capacity. “Texas is one. We send the teams to Texas to do all the evaluation,” Wei said, referring to locations outside Arizona...

The site will support more than 1,000 highly skilled manufacturing jobs in the state’s semiconductor industry, said New York Gov. Kathy Hochul. Japan will invest up to $21 billion to build two chip factories in New York under a trade agreement with U.S. President Donald Trump, as Washington seeks to expand domestic semiconductor production. They will be jointly owned by the U.S. government and Japanese interests and operated by GlobalFoundries, the company said on Wednesday. Construction of the first factory is scheduled to begin this year, with chip production expected in 2029. GlobalFoundries executives said the partners will decide whether...

White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, whom President Donald Trump said still has his "COMPLETE confidence," could soon be removed from her position, according to Politico. Rumors about Wiles' future intensified this week after Trump reportedly discussed her role and potential successors with advisers, Politico said. Although the president has publicly denied plans to replace Wiles, speculation has persisted as betting markets increasingly price in her departure before year's end. The rumors come less than three weeks before the November 3 midterm elections in which Republicans are fighting to maintain control of Congress amid a series of competitive races...

Former Rep. Mike Rogers (R) is edging out Democrat Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed in the Michigan Senate race, a poll from Alliance for a Better Future, first obtained by Breitbart News, reveals. The survey highlights a “major shift” from its September tracking poll of the race, showing Rogers with a three-point gain and El-Sayed with no movement. In this survey, conducted October 6-8, 2026, Rogers sees 46 percent support — up from 43 percent in the last survey. El-Sayed remains flat with 44 percent support in both surveys. This gives Rogers a two-point edge ahead of the Democrat mere weeks ahead...

A former ICU nurse accused of taking fentanyl from a critically ill patient’s IV told investigators she was responding to an alarm, but the patient’s significant other reported no alarm and questioned her actions, Port St. Lucie police said Tuesday. https://t.co/putg7THYdN— Henrikh (@henrikhinai) October 6, 2026SummaryI followed positions, not opinions: a bubble is the gap between money spent now and money earned now, bridged by belief later earnings arrive. Worldwide AI spending is $2.7 trillion against frontier-lab revenues still counted in tens of billions, and more than $800 billion moves in circular financing. Nvidia books $96.2 billion a quarter at 75% gross margin, while run rates flatter labs and 95% of pilots show no P&L impact. Bears risk hundreds of millions; bulls signed hundreds of billions, and the crowd prices collapse at 10% by New Year, 21% by mid-2027. My...

An aftermarket suspension lift kit that raised the height of a Ford F-150 by six inches is at the center of a wrongful death lawsuit following a crash that killed a Georgia man. Defendants in the case include the driver of the truck, the dealer that sold the truck, the business that installed the suspension lift-kit and the manufacturer of the aftermarket equipment. Charles Holloway Jr. was killed in what was an otherwise survivable crash when the driver of the Ford F-150, Scott Douglas Kneiss, crossed the center line during the late morning of Jan. 8 and struck Holloway’s vehicle...

Republicans and Republican-leaning independents want Marco Rubio, not Ron DeSantis, as JD Vance's 2028 running mate, a new exclusive Daily Mail/YouGov poll reveals. The Secretary of State leads the field with 33 percent, a crushing 20 points ahead of the Florida governor, who takes just 13 percent. Among self-described MAGA supporters, Rubio's lead is even bigger: 45 percent want him on the ticket. Among those who are registered and say they will definitely vote, he takes 41 percent. But Rubio is far from a lock. Just as many respondents, 34 percent, said they weren't sure who Vance should pick. The...

Explanation: The city lights outshine the stars in the City That Never Sleeps. Who would have thought that the Milky Way could be visible in this sky? This image was taken with a filter that blocks most visible light, capturing instead only light in the near-infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum (with lower energy than visible light). The astrophotographer's clever setup blocks most of the light pollution from the city: old incandescent light bulbs and some neon lights are still bright in the near-infrared, but fluorescent and LED light bulbs are not. Of course, stars are also bright in the...

Florida Democratic Senate candidate Angie Nixon said Wednesday she wants her Republican opponent, U.S. Sen. Ashley Moody, R-Fla., locked up and punished in jail. "The fact remains that Ashley Moody is a lying, cheating, thieving, scamming person who basically took $10 million from sick kids for the Medicaid program. And she rerouted that into two political slush funds for Ron DeSantis to defeat two citizen-led ballot initiatives," Nixon told CNN host Kasie Hunt. "She also voted to end healthcare for over 440,000 people here in the state of Florida. And they are spreading, like, a lot of disinformation and lies...

Remains discovered from Isaaq genocide in Somalia “[Ilhan Omar’s father] Nur Said was a military officer who was loyal to the regime until the end. He was part and parcel of those who caused and created the mayhem they ‘fled’ to live comfortably in the United States.” —Mohamed Haji Ingiriis, historian and Oxford University researcher. In researching the genocides in Rwanda and Bosnia for my book Out of the Melting Pot, Into the Fire, I was struck by how many participants in those genocides turned up as residents, or even citizens, of the United States. Investigators have identified roughly...

WASHINGTON, Oct 15 (Reuters) - The US Justice Department sued California on Thursday, asking a federal judge to block the state from counting mail ballots for the November 3 midterm elections from more than 20,000 voters the Trump administration alleges are likely noncitizens. The lawsuit marks the latest effort by President Donald Trump's administration to boost the federal government's role in elections ahead of the midterms, with his Republican Party locked in a tight battle to retain control of both houses of Congress. The US Constitution assigns the responsibility of administering elections to individual states, though the federal government has some...
