Tomorrow, September 29, the second annual MAHA Summit will be held at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C. Today, I looked at the speakers and was genuinely taken aback. Then the picture became considerably clearer when I took a gander at the sponsor list. This is being advertised as “a one-day gathering of the foremost leaders shaping the future of American health,” culminating with Vice President JD Vance and HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. What bothers me most is not any single corporation on this list. It is who is missing. I know many of the people who spent...

One could remind bishops that Our Lord restored marriage to its original dignity after fallen man had distorted it.Or,...

The Atlantic's hurricane drought is over, and it is now the longest on record. Isaias reached hurricane strength over the Gulf Wednesday night, according to the National Hurricane Center. That is later than the first hurricane of any season on record, surpassing the 7 p.m. Oct. 7 mark set in 1905. Isaias is the ninth named storm of 2026. The first eight were all tropical storms, three of them hit the Gulf Coast, and none reached hurricane strength. In mid-September, Tropical Storm Fay came closest to hurricane status, peaking at 70 mph, 4 mph short of the Category 1 threshold....

On CNN This Morning, host Audie Cornish played a clip of Bill Maher on Fareed Zakaria's show predicting the Democrats would administer an "ass-whooping" to the Republicans. Maher based his bold forecast on the notion that President Trump hasn't delivered on various promises. Cornish introduced the Maher clip as "conventional wisdom," and after it rolled, she embraced his take: "I can't sum it up better than that kind of idea." Over on Morning Joe, Chris Matthews' supposition was more specific: "A month from now, I think the Democrats win the Senate and the House. I think it's gonna be a...

That caused an uproar. The Ottumwa Courier reports local pastor Rick Bick took the mic, even though public comment is reserved for the end of city council meetings. He said it was a "curse on the city."

“Believe survivors,” the campus activists and leftist politicians admonish us. But which “survivor” statements are we supposed to believe? In the weeks following her alleged gang rape at a Cornell University frat house in 2024, “Jane Doe” was unequivocal: She had not been raped. A day after the incident, she texted one of her sex partners, saying “non (sic) of the sexual stuff was illegal and honestly I really liked being with u” — and she suggested another get-together. The next day she texted him again, including an affectionate note: “I luv you king.”She angled herself an invitation to the annual...

Again and again, throughout his long political career, Ken Paxton has gotten himself into trouble. Each time, his wife, Angela, has come to his defense. In 2022, a process server trying to deliver a subpoena to Mr. Paxton, the Republican attorney general of Texas, said he watched Ms. Paxton drive him away from their home in a truck. The next year, during Mr. Paxton’s impeachment trial, which aired multiple allegations of corruption and an extramarital affair, Ms. Paxton, a Republican state senator, sat stoically through the entire proceedings, which she later dismissed in a social media post as “all of...

The State Department will impose “further sanctions” on the International Criminal Court in response to its attempts to charge American service members, according to a US official and an internal memo reviewed by The Post. The official said that diplomatic posts were receiving warnings Thursday that “further ICC action” was imminent, while the memo cited longstanding grievances with the US not being a signatory to the court’s founding treaty. “The ICC seeks to become the unaccountable global arbiter – positioning itself above and beyond the nation state as a supranational judicial arm of a globalist bureaucracy empowered to persecute American...

Controversial streamer Hasan Piker weighed in on anti-Zionist protesters chanting against New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) on Wednesday and later jeering him as he attended an evening vigil for the victims of Hamas’s October 7th terror attacks on southern Israel. “Mayor Mamdani, you can’t hide; we charge you with genocide,” was a chant heard outside of City Hall from protesters who held their own “resistance” rally and accused the progressive stalwart and fierce critic of Israel’s conduct in Gaza of siding with pro-Israel factions. Piker, who has stirred controversy this election cycle with his many incendiary comments, went...

The Trump administration is suspending Microsoft from a major immigration program that allows its foreign workers to transfer from an H1B1 visa to a green card, accusing the tech giant of fraud. “If you do the math, for every worker that Microsoft laid off, they replaced that worker with one and a half foreign indentured servants,” Vice President Vance said Thursday at an event for his government fraud task force. Critics of the H1B1 program — which permits workers with special skills legal employment in the US — say it is overused, allows cheaper foreign workers to replace American employees,...

The restaurant is named after Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian child who was killed by IDF forces in Gaza in Jan. 2024, and also pays homage...

CNN’s data analyst Harry Enten reported today that Republican voter registration has gone up significantly in several key swing states. This contradicts almost everything we are hearing about the midterms from Democrats and their liberal media allies. If all of these new Republican voters go out and vote in the midterms, the outcome could surprise quite a few people. Enten also devotes a few minutes to Florida and suggests that Republicans are pretty much a lock there to win. “When you take a look at how people are actually registering — this is not polling data — compared to where...
