OTTUMWA, Iowa —A prayer at the beginning of an Ottumwa City Council meeting is drawing backlash.
Former council member Matthew Dalbey delivered the invocation Tuesday, which ended with "hail Satan."
That caused an uproar. The Ottumwa Courier reports local pastor Rick Bick took the mic, even though public comment is reserved for the end of city council meetings. He said it was a "curse on the city."
