The family of a man who never attended Cornell University says it has faced threats and harassment after mistakenly receiving lawsuit papers intended for another Matthew Ingalls, a former student accused of participating in a fraternity gang rape. The family’s home address appeared on the official court docket, helping online users target the wrong Matthew Ingalls, according to The Free Press. Victoria Ingalls, the unrelated man’s mother, told the outlet she opened her door on Saturday night to find a man handing her a 101-page complaint intended for the other Matthew Ingalls, one of seven men accused of sexually assaulting...

Two Louisiana brothers are facing terrorism charges for their alleged role in a twisted scheme to fund Hamas under the guise of Gaza humanitarian aid – and they were brought down with the help of the NYPD. Abdel Adhami and his sibling Omar Adhami were busted in the Pelican State last month for allegedly raising money online and funneling it to Saleem Alzaq, a member of the terror group who regularly uses social media to post Hamas propaganda, according to newly unsealed federal indictments. Abdel allegedly funneled more than $83,000 to Hamas from 2023 to 2026 while his brother is...

Like most 4-and-a-half-year-olds, Lev Bielski loves playing with his big sister, spelling his favorite pastime “pool” on the letter board and cuddling with his parents on movie nights. But it’s been a long journey for the golden-haired “surfer bro” who loves splashing in the water at surf camp and trying on Dad’s volunteer firefighter gear. Up until four months ago, Lev was self-harming until he was black and blue, unable to make eye contact and keeping to himself in a corner all day. He was inching dangerously close to being confined by a punishing helmet and sedated with heavy antipsychotic...

A man tried to dodge his dinner bill by faking a medical emergency and calling 911 at a Georgia Red Lobster last week, according to authorities. Abdul Rasheed, 26, wound up essentially calling cops on himself on Sept. 24 when he tried to skip out on his $63 bill at the seafood joint located on Highway 5 in Douglasville, Ga, WSB-TV Atlanta reported. When emergency responders arrived, they found Rasheed perfectly fine — but apparently unwilling to pay for his feast. Douglasville police arrested him and charged him with theft of services, unlawful conduct during a 911 call, and making...

Too many students are graduating with a college degree ignorant of this country and how it works. To remedy this, I would add three courses that should be required for graduation. These courses would go a long way toward curing the misinformation now being presented to many modern college graduates. We can add these requirements to the Illinois state schools as a minimum and as an example to the rest of the education establishment. First, require microeconomics. No student should receive a college degree without at least a basic understanding of both the laws of supply and demand and the...

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the FBI began examining Ellaboudy after receiving information that he had purchased precursor chemicals, components and other materials associated with improvised explosive devices. Investigators also found purchases of parts used to construct drones and remotely operated aerial systems. The complaint alleges that Ellaboudy took sick leave in December 2024 after claiming exposure to highly concentrated nitric acid, a chemical that can be used in explosive materials. In September 2025, prosecutors say, he used an official passport issued during earlier employment with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to travel from Washington state to...

Global debt surpassed $365 trillion in H1 2026, with emerging markets accounting for the bulk of the rise. Higher inflation has helped contain debt ratios, masking underlying vulnerabilities....

The New York Times probably didn’t start their day planning to blow up Jane Doe’s case against the so-called “Cornell 7,” but its own reporting has done just that. Buried inside the Times’ reconstruction of the accusations against seven Cornell frat members is a sequence of events that dramatically changes the picture and essentially tells the world these young guys are innocent and there was no rape. According to documents obtained by the Times, Jane Doe didn’t initially describe herself as a “rape victim” after the night in question. Quite the contrary. She reportedly told roommates what happened, exchanged friendly...

The recent terrifying crisis aboard Flydubai Flight FZ 1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv serves as a stark warning to the global security community: Commercial aviation remains a prime target, and the nature of the threat is rapidly shifting. During the flight, a violent struggle erupted inside the cockpit, sending the aircraft into a sudden, steep descent from 17,000 feet and triggering emergency distress codes. A horrific disaster was averted only because of the immediate, decisive intervention of the remaining crew and vigilant passengers on board, who managed to overpower the individual and stabilize the aircraft before an emergency diversion...

Handguns have been shown to be extremely effective at stopping bear attacks. This correspondent and colleagues have documented over 200 cases in North America where handguns were fired in defense against bears. Handguns have been effective in about 98% of the cases. One objection to these findings is often stated this way:If a person is killed before the handgun is fired, you will not include the incident in your statistics, because the handgun was not fired. Fair enough. It is a limitation worth exploring.Wikipedia and others maintain a database of all the people who have been recorded as having been...

The Trump Justice Department has arrested a California technology-company owner accused of smuggling more than $300 million in restricted American computer servers to China. Prosecutors say the operation used false paperwork and stops in other countries to get around U.S. export controls. That is the central issue here: a shipment’s first destination is not necessarily its final customer. The national-security division announced the arrest while emphasizing the strategic importance of the chips involved: California Man Arrested for Smuggling More Than $300 Million in Export-Controlled Computer Servers to China“SI is the defining technology of the era,” said Assistant Attorney General John...

🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem🇮🇱 (10/2/26)[Prayer]Personalities Psalm 40[a]For the director of music. Of David. A psalm.1 I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. 2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.3 He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.4 Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, who does...

The midterms are about more than Trump, Iran, and the price of gas. They reflect an ideological shift among Democrats that could permanently change America’s trajectory. So, you’re thinking about sitting out the midterms. Or you might just vote Democrat to protest. The Iran war has dragged on too long, you say. Months rather than weeks hardly make it Vietnam, though. Casualties are minor. Consider: Iran with nuclear weapons would be an uber-terror state. It would pose a 24/7 threat to U.S. security. Victor Davis Hanson is right: Breaking Iran is a gift, yet hard to appreciate now. Higher gas,...

Los Angeles County introduced a 10.25 percent sales tax on Thursday, four months after voters approved Measure ER. The Essential Services Restoration Act (Measure ER) overwhelmingly passed in L.A. County earlier this year, raising the sales tax by a half-cent to support health care and other essential services – from 9.75 percent to 10.25 percent. “For every $100 in taxable purchases, Measure ER adds 50 cents in tax, bringing the total to $110.25,” noted NBC News. “The increase is temporary. Measure ER allows the tax to remain in effect for five years until Oct. 1, 2031 as it is projected...

California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed into law a bill that formally recognizes two Muslim holidays as state holidays on Sunday, making it the second state to formally recognize both holidays statewide. California Assembly Bill 2017 officially added Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha to the list of state holidays, which would permit public schools and colleges to close and allow state employees to be eligible to observe the holidays. However, schools and businesses will not be required to close on these days, and courts will be required to stay open. This makes California the second state in the country, after Washington...

Jonathan Lemire has made a stunning theological discovery! On Thursday's Morning Joe, Lemire played a clip of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth at Quantico in which he said, "As Psalm 33:12 extols us, blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." Lemire's verdict: "Yet again, another moment where Secretary Hegseth uses explicitly Christian rhetoric to describe the military." Just one problem. It's not "explicitly Christian rhetoric." It is a line from the Psalms, written long before the Christian church emerged. Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has waived a restriction on $320 million in military aid to Egypt that had been previously withheld over human rights concerns, citing Egypt’s help in dealing with Iran since the conflict began earlier this year. The State Department said Thursday that Rubio had signed off on the waiver “in the interest of U.S. national security.” "The Secretary’s determination reflects the importance of Egypt to U.S. national security interests, and the concrete security cooperation Egypt provides to the United States,” the department said. In a letter sent to lawmakers whose contents were shared with The Associated...

The Left’s cries of “genocide” against Israel ring hollow when many of its loudest critics ignore the far bloodier histories of their own ancestral homelands. On October 7, 2023, Hamas killers slaughtered 1,200 people, more than two-thirds of them civilians, inside Israel. For the ensuing three weeks, they refused Israel’s demands to turn over the 251 hostages and to surrender the architects of the massacre. No matter—within a day of the attacks, when Hamas gunmen were still fighting Israeli troops on Israeli soil, the American Left was already screaming “genocide!” They did not mean Hamas’s intended genocide of Jews, a...

New York Attorney General Letitia James has been appointed as special prosecutor in the Cornell University sexual assault investigation, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Thursday, following increasing scrutiny and uproar over how university police and the local district attorney’s office handled the matter two years ago. Hochul said in a statement that “newly released information continues to raise serious questions about the investigation,” which has in turn “undercut my faith, and the public’s faith.” She said James, who has been attorney general since 2019, will take over the case of a former Cornell University student who alleged in a lawsuit last...

A Department of Energy electrical engineer has been arrested on charges of providing support to the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels, including by buying materials for homemade explosives and drones and traveling to Yemen, the Justice Department said Thursday. Ashton Hamed Ellaboudy, 51, of Richland, Washington, was arrested Thursday and is due to make his first court appearance Friday. Court records do not list an attorney available to speak on his behalf. The FBI says Ellaboudy had a goal of helping the Houthis improve their communications capabilities and traveled last September to Yemen, where the Houthis and Saudi-backed government forces are now...
