Daily Readings from the USCCBMemorial of Saint Cecilia, Virgin and Martyr“That the dead will rise even Moses made known in the passage about the bush, when he called ‘Lord’ the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; and he is not God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive.” Luke 20:37–38Jesus gives this response to some of the Sadducees who question Him about the resurrection of the dead. The Sadducees did not believe in the resurrection of the body, whereas the Pharisees did. Thus, the Sadducees asked Jesus about...

“. . . the Democrat Party is no longer a political party. It is an insurrectionist crime syndicate that will torch the Constitution to stay in power.” —Stephen Miller. The old joke goes: A-list actor is having lunch with studio chief. Studio chief says, Didja hear so-and-so (well-known Hollywood agent) dropped dead this morning. His heart. A-list actor says, Gee, I didn’t know he had one. Kind of brings to mind the late Veep Dick Cheney, who actually did have a heart, but one so grotesquely diseased that he had his first near-fatal infarction at age thirty-seven, followed by surgeries...

The new US ambassador to Poland, Thomas Rose, has criticised those who blame Poles for the Holocaust, calling it a “blood libel” against a nation that was a victim of the war. He said that such “historically false and morally scandalous” claims have long “poisoned relations between Jews and Poles”. Rose, who is himself Jewish, also said that Poland is today “the safest country in Europe for a Jew to walk the streets” "For too long, this nation has been burdened with the moral stain that was never its own, the persistent belief that Poland shares guilt for the barbaric...

Fox News anchor Bret Baier interviewed David Grusch, the Air Force intelligence officer turned whistleblower who previously testified before Congress about secret U.S. crash-retrieval programs involving non-human craft. In the interview, Grusch reaffirms and strengthens his core claims: 1. The U.S. has recovered non-human craft and biological remains. He states directly that the government has retrieved vehicles of non-human origin, and that non-human biological entities were recovered with some of them. 2. He personally saw classified reports and photographic evidence. Baier presses him: “With your own eyes you saw it?” Grusch answers: “Yes.” He says he had partial access to...

President Trump’s meeting with Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) was a success before the Saudi crown prince set foot in the White House. Despite calls for the Saudis to join the Abraham Accords in exchange for selling them F-35 stealth fighters, Trump wisely saw that pressuring the Saudi prince into a deal whose time passed with the successful U.S. attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities would be harmful to both Israel and the Saudis. But by pocketing what will be the first in a series of large checks for advanced American military equipment, Trump cut directly to the heart of the pact...

Swalwell, 45, kicked off his run for the Golden State governor’s office on Thursday night with a minute-long campaign video that pledged to “keep the worst president in our history out of our homes, out of our streets and out of our lives” and lower the cost of living. But X users quickly saw something was amiss and began comparing photos of the congressman’s $1.2 million Victorian-style bungalow in...

Briefly stated, there are two major views today regarding the historical origin of Sunday and its relationship to the biblical Sabbath. The older and traditional view, which can be traced back to early Christianity, maintains that there is a radical discontinuity between the Sabbath and Sunday, and consequently Sunday is not the Sabbath. The two days differ in origin, meaning, and experience. The more recent view, which is articulated by Pope John Paul II himself in his Pastoral Letter Dies Domini, maintains that Sunday began as the embodiment and "full expression" of the Sabbath, and consequently it is to be...

Jim Ferguson @JimFergusonUK 🔥 WOW. You actually can’t make this up… Hakeem Jeffries just stood in front of the cameras and claimed: • “It’s a lie.” • “It’s a clown show.” • “I never met Epstein.” • “I never took his money.” Except… the financial records exist. The emails exist. The transactions are documented. You can deny reality, but you can’t erase a paper trail. For YEARS the American people were told that anyone who asked questions about Epstein was a conspiracy theorist. Now the very people who screamed “transparency!” are panicking because their own names are surfacing. The hypocrisy...

“‘Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light’” (Matthew 11:29–30). Jesus’ great invitation includes a call to submission, which inherently includes obedience and is symbolized by a yoke. The “yoke” was made of wood and designed to fit comfortably on the neck and shoulders of a work animal to prevent chafing. An ancient aphorism says, “Put your neck under the yoke and let your soul receive instruction.” By analogy, Christ wants His disciples...
