Yesterday, I had the enormous privilege to witness the three quarter time huddle of the Hillside women’s senior football team in a match against Aberfeldie. Hillside had gone into the match undefeated and Aberfeldie were second on the ladder with two losses. At halftime it was a point the difference but Aberfeldie completely outclassed Hillside in the third quarter to go five goals ahead. The determination of Hillside to fight back reflected in the fierce raw of their voices in that huddle was the most passionate sound I have ever heard from a group of footballers. Previously it has been...

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz sought to energize activists at a Democratic state convention in South Carolina, as the party's 2024 vice presidential nominee works to keep up the high national profile he gained when Kamala Harris selected him as her running mate. Walz, a former schoolteacher who went on to serve in Congress and then became his state’s governor, keynoted the South Carolina gathering in Columbia, traditionally a showcase for national-level Democrats and White House hopefuls. Speaking to convention delegates for more than half an hour, Walz used colorful language and spoke plainly as he lobbed...

Former First Lady Michelle Obama is facing backlash after saying that creating life is “the least” of what a woman’s reproductive system does. On the latest episode of the podcast “IMO with Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson,” the former first lady and her brother were joined by OB/GYN Dr. Sharon Malone, whose husband, Eric Holder, served as Attorney General under former President Barack Obama. During the discussion, the former first lady lamented that women’s reproductive health “has been reduced to the question of choice.” “I attempted to make the argument on the campaign trail this past election was that there’s...

Since Trump began his second term, Britain has become a political escape hatch for American celebrities and wealthy Democrats. It’s so popular that last week, the British Home Office released data showing that in the 12 months leading up to March, almost 7,000 US citizens applied to become British subjects or live here indefinitely — the highest number since such records began in 2004. A third of those applications have been received since Trump took office at the start of 2025. **SNIP** But the glitzy progressives falling for Britain may find they are in for a shock: This is not...

When President Vladimir Putin traveled to the Kursk region this month for the first time since Russia expelled Ukrainian forces, his helicopter reportedly came under fire from Ukrainian drones. And that’s exactly how the Kremlin designed it. As ordinary Russians continue to bear the domestic brunt of Putin’s war, the Kremlin and the security services staged this PR stunt to convince the public that Putin, too, is making sacrifices for the country, four current and former Russian officials told The Moscow Times. All of these sources spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive details related to Putin’s security. With...

On May 13th, 2025, a potentially catastrophic mistake unfolded at San Francisco International Airport when United Airlines Flight 1152 turned the wrong way after takeoff—directly into the path of SkyWest Flight 5273. This was one of the closest calls we've seen this year—just 0.4 nautical miles and 280 feet separated these two planes. We walk through the ATC audio, analyze the pilot decision-making, and talk about what needs to change to prevent this from happening

On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) said that part of the reason for the coverup of former President Joe Biden’s mental fitness is because Democrats feared being honest would help Donald Trump. CNN host and “Original Sin” co-author Jake Tapper asked, “[D]on’t you think, also, one of the issues for your party was the idea that Donald Trump, Democrats perceived him to be an existential threat to the world and only Joe Biden had ever beaten Donald Trump, therefore, he had to be the nominee again and any word that deviated from that was helping...

The German government handed out a record number of citizenships to immigrants last year, rising to nearly a quarter of a million passports, with Syrian and Turkish nationals representing the largest cohorts. According to data collected by 13 of 16 federal states in Germany and provided to the Welt Am Sonntag newspaper, 249,901 foreigners were granted citizenship in 2024, the highest number since records began in 2000. This number surpassed the previous record set in 2023, when 200,095 people were awarded citizenship. Last year’s record naturalisation number is likely much higher, given that the states of Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and...

Spousal abuse laws in the U.S. and many other countries cover physical and sexual assault and battery, stalking, emotional manipulation and control, threats, and coercion etc, on and on. In fact I know of cases where even an accusation/witnesses statements or simple minor red mark on the skin can send someone to jail, and literally ruin their life/career due to being convicted of spousal abuse. If they have video, forget it, someone is going to jail! What about Brigitte Macron?

HBO host Bill Maher talked to Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) and Jake Tapper on Friday's "Real Time" about left-wing extremism on college campuses. "There is this idea on campuses. It's not just the Israeli thing," Maher said about radicalism on the campus. It's that all of Western civilization is suspect." "And, you know, I'm not saying Trump is a guy reading historians every night, but to the average person, he seems to get the idea, Western civilization good, that a lot of these kids don't," Maher added. BILL MAHER: What is odd to me that there would be so much...

Former United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo warned US President Donald Trump on Saturday against recognizing Crimea as Russian territory, claiming that would be "a mistake of epic proportions." "I get the frustration … I'm not naive about what’s physically possible in this moment, but that doesn’t mean one should go and say, ‘and we are giving up for all time," Pompeo, who served as the top US diplomat during Trump's first term, stated at the Black Sea Security Forum in Odessa. "This is one of the things I hope to communicate," he added.
