Many media outlets have claimed that President Trump’s trade policies will drive costs up. But the data indicates the exact opposite. “I keep hearing about prices and inflation,” Trump said Friday. “Prices are coming down. Not going up.” Recent economic reports corroborate Trump’s claim. The monthly Consumer Price Index report was negative for the first time since May 2020 (which was in Trump’s first term). The report revealed that energy prices were the big driver for the decline. Energy prices dropped 2.4%, and gasoline prices decreased by 6.1%. “Consumer prices are dropping for the first time in years, energy prices...

Amazon said Tuesday it considered displaying import charges on items sold via its site for ultra-discount items, but that the plan “was never approved and not going to happen.” The move would have affected items sold on Haul, Amazon’s answer to Chinese discount retailer Temu, which offers apparel, home goods and other items priced at $20 or less.

CNN went out of its way to edit photos of illegal alien mugshots on White House lawn signs, blurring the faces and their alleged crimes. The display was so offensive to leftists that MSNBC guest Maria Teresa Kumar said that the media should “blur” the faces out because those on the posters may not have had their due process yet. It didn’t take CNN long to fall in line and do just that, opting to alter Getty images of the lawn display to protect the identities of those featured

Mexico will no longer deny Texas farmers the lifeblood of their business, according to the Trump administration. Under a 1944 treaty, Mexico is obligated to send Texas water from the Rio Grande while the U.S. sends Mexico water from the Colorado River. The current five-year deal calls for about 490 billion gallons from the U.S. to flow to Mexico each year, while 570 billion gallons from Mexico is to head north, according to CNN. Because Mexico has been far behind in its obligations, the State Department denied a request for water for Tijuana, marking the first U.S. denial since the...

Democrats in Connecticut’s House will weigh a bill this week that would allow citizens to sue gun manufacturers, marketers, and dealers over the criminal use of firearms. The CT Insider noted that the legislation is being pushed as a way to create state-level options for filing lawsuits that are barred federally by the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA). State Rep. Steve Stafstrom (D) believes PLCAA has given too much legal immunity to people in the firearms industry: “What it has done is provide untoward protections to gun manufacturers and has deprived victims of their rights to seek...

In a swift and controversial move, the Nevada State Assembly passed Assembly Bill 245 (AB245), a sweeping new gun control measure. According to the official bill overview (AB245 Reprint 1, adopted April 21, 2025), this legislation targets residents under the age of 21, making it illegal for them to possess, handle, or control semiautomatic shotguns and semiautomatic centerfire rifles. The bill passed along party lines with a 27–15 vote, signaling sharp political division over firearm rights in the state. At its heart, AB245 bans most adults under 21 from owning certain types of firearms, even though these individuals are recognized...

It appears that leftist billionaire George Soros’s Open Society Foundations was outright lying when it claimed it received no funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). OSF gaslighted the world over controversies surrounding USAID funding a number of leftist pet projects it was simultaneously financing. “The claims that the Open Society Foundations, founded by George Soros, receive funding from USAID or direct the funding of a multibillion-dollar U.S. government agency are manifestly false,” OSF exclaimed February 12. However, an investigation by MRC Business found that not only did an OSF node get a sizable committed grant from USAID,...

It traveled through the building, striking numerous people before exiting the other side. Police said two 7-year-olds, an 8-year-old and an 18-year-old were killed. Six more children were taken to hospitals and one remains in...

The new facility will produce biologic drugs and Keytruda, becoming Merck's first in-house U.S. site to make the blockbuster cancer treatment, the company said. Merck said last week its biggest tariff exposure is through Keytruda and it has enough U.S. inventory for this year. It estimated $200 million in additional costs for the levies implemented to date. UPS will cut 20,000 jobs this year after breaking with its biggest customer Amazon. The delivery giant is looking to slash costs after its decision in January to halve the number of Amazon deliveries it takes. Deliveries for the e-commerce giant makes up around 12 percent of UPS's revenue, the company said. However, UPS said the profit margins for Amazon deliveries were too small and it wanted to refocus on more lucrative markets such as healthcare and international deliveries. The decision will also lead to the closure of 73 UPS buildings this year, the company said on Tuesday. UPS CEO...

Disrupter, firebrand, or provocateur – call him what you will – but in the first 100 days of his second and last term, President Donald Trump has shaken and stirred American progressives to their core. His commanding presence is not for the faint of heart, as he proceeds at breakneck speed to fulfill his campaign promises. Today (April 29), which marks the 100th day of his presidency, is cause for reflection. And unsurprisingly, satisfaction with his priorities, projects, and plans has fallen along party lines. Tariffs, immigration, and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) headline the start of Trump’s second...

The massive power outage that wreaked havoc in Europe is being blamed on a pair of likely solar plant breakdowns in southwest Spain, a report said. Red Eléctrica said it identified two power generation loss incidents in southwest Spain – likely involving solar plants – that caused instability in the Spanish power grid and contributed to a breakdown of its interconnection to France, according to Reuters. "We have never had a complete collapse of the system," Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said in a televised address Monday night. Eduardo Prieto, Red Eléctrica’s chief of operations, said the instability in the...
