In a swift and controversial move, the Nevada State Assembly passed Assembly Bill 245 (AB245), a sweeping new gun control measure. According to the official bill overview (AB245 Reprint 1, adopted April 21, 2025), this legislation targets residents under the age of 21, making it illegal for them to possess, handle, or control semiautomatic shotguns and semiautomatic centerfire rifles. The bill passed along party lines with a 27–15 vote, signaling sharp political division over firearm rights in the state.
At its heart, AB245 bans most adults under 21 from owning certain types of firearms, even though these individuals are recognized as legal adults in almost every other part of American life. As outlined in the bill text, violations of the new law could result in a gross misdemeanor. Additional penalties apply to anyone who knowingly allows or aids someone under 21 to possess a banned firearm, with repeat offenses potentially escalating to a felony with prison time.

Democrats hard at work.
The emasculation of Nevada males continues.
Sure they use the word illegal for guns and not Aliens ,LOL
Wow! No exceptions for Venezuelan teens?
So, the way I read this if I am at the range and my under 21 grandkid is shooting one of my M4’s under my purview am I a criminal?
Navada?
Thirty years ago, you could go into a drugstore in Carson City, Nevada, sit down at a slot machine, walk over to the counter and buy whiskey, step on over to the other side of the store and buy a six-shooter revolver and ammunition, and also buy aspirin or antibiotics before you went out the door.
Good times, good times.
We called and emailed and texted. Maybe Lombardo will just let it molder. Yup! BOR violators are like rust. Never sleeps. I know my local senate person us useless.
NevaDUH! As in another comment, if it gets to Lombardo, maybe it’ll die.
WASHINGTON, April 21 (Reuters) - Minnesota can no longer enforce its law barring people younger than 21 years old from obtaining a permit to carry a handgun in public after the U.S. Supreme Court refused on Monday to hear its appeal of a judicial decision deeming the age restriction a violation of constitutional protections for gun rights.
The justices let stand a 2024 ruling by the St. Louis-based 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that the restriction violated the rights of people ages 18, 19 and 20 to keep and bear arms under the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment, declining to hear the Democratic-governed state’s appeal.
PING!......................
It sounds like it, along with your grandkid being a criminal too.
I grew up deer hunting in Mississippi. The most popular deer rifle at the time was a remington 7400 semi-auto in .30-06 or .270, probably half the high school age boys had one. It was pretty much standard for every teenage boy around to come in from school, pick up his rifle and head to the woods during deer season. This looks like it would make them all criminals.
Leftists truly are nuts.
Saw this “Stuff” coming back in 2010 or 2012.
Held on, retired in 2020, bailed.
Nevada is being californicated.
Yup! Thanks to vegas.
This begs a LOT of questions:
First - with the recent decisions by the US SCOTUS, do these idiots REALLY believe this will be allowed to stand?
Second - How did Nevada turn so ragingly Leftist in the last couple of decades? Is it simply mass migration from Commiefornia?
Nuts, or absolutely deranged?
And you could get change in silver dollars.
I believe it has become very apparent what the lawyers are doing. They know their laws are unconstitutional and the citizenry realize it as well.
Thank God the people no longer pay attention to these unconstitutional laws.
I have one in 243 cal. Great rifle, I have shot a truck load of deer with it.
