The Democrat and RINO effort to blow up Trump’s global tariffs suffered an embarrassing failure in the Senate this evening after two senators failed to vote.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Senator Rand Paul (RINO-KY) had sponsored a resolution that would have terminated ALL of Trump’s tariffs, including those on America’s top adversary, China.
The vote deadlocked 49-49, meaning it failed by one vote. But there were three Republicans who voted to stab Trump in the back and end the global tariffs:
Rand Paul of Kentucky
Susan Collins of Maine
Lisa Murkowski of Alaska
Senators Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) did not show up to cast their votes. Had they done so, the measure would have passed.

Is RandFan on suicide watch?
When your only compatriots are Collins and Murkowski, you should realize you’re on the wrong side of things. Shame on Rand.
a simple majority could have eliminated the tariffs???
(Is RandFan on suicide watch?)
Good question!
The world, RINOS and Rats are trying to outwait and hoping Trump and his followers like myself, will lose patience. F em.
Murkowski (D AK); Collins (D ME)
Paul is scum, defending globalists, China and trade deals that screw over American businesses and workers.
Hey Dufus,
Did you notice your Hero’s latest failure?
Of course not. Trump would’ve vetoed it. It’s symbolic.
But he seems to have gone off the rails here. You cannot begin to address the federal debt without a strong domestic industrial base. And Trump’s tariffs mean to restore that base.
My advice to Sen. Paul: Take some time off to get your mind right. Maybe visit a region where there once were factories that are all gone now.
🤣
Pleasantly surprised. Number of bills passed by Rand in 15 years remains zero. Retire! Trump having every major CEO in the White House didn’t hurt his case
FU Rand Paul, you greasy little shiite.
(Number of bills passed by Rand in 15 years remains zero.)
I did not know that. Unbelievable!
He needs to go.
Rand Paul, and then the usual suspects...
“Mitch did something useful for once.”
He’s probably afraid that he’s going to be investigated if he doesn’t go along with Trump.
They all need to go.
No it would have had to go to the house and be passed which isn’t likely and then even more unlikely Trump would have had to sign it. Rand is simply wasting time
Bidementia suffering congresscritters have good days and bad days; sometimes they have really really bad days. McConnell must have been having a really really bad day for his staff not to roll him in to vote on this resolution.
No. The house would have to pass the bill. And president would have to sign it for it to become law. Fake headline.
