Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was criticized by Republicans on Sunday for not allowing Senator-elect Dave McCormick (R-PA) to attend Senate orientation. Republican lawmakers such as Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO), and Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) sharply criticized Schumer for refusing to allow McCormick to attend the Senate orientation due to incumbent Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) refusing to concede Pennsylvania’s Senate race. The senators noted that it “shows Schumer’s true character.” This criticism of Schumer comes as Republican senators have called for Casey to concede the race, as McCormick has maintained a...

Sen. Joe Manchin (I-WV) acknowledged Republican Senator-elect Dave McCormick’s victory over incumbent Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA), undercutting Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Casey who continue to deny the election results. The Associated Press (AP) called the race for McCormick Thursday after the few remaining votes left to be counted do not present Casey with a path to victory.McCormick leads by almost 40,000 votes, but Manchin is the first member of Schumer’s Democrat Caucus to acknowledge the inevitable.“While we are losing a good person and colleague in Senator Bob Casey, I believe the Senate will be gaining another good man...

Donald Trump Jr., son of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, shared an Instagram clip on Nov. 10 mocking President Volodymyr Zelensky and indicating that Ukraine would soon lose aid from the United States. The post comes less than a week after Trump Jr.'s father was re-elected president. Trump Jr. reposted an Instagram clip featuring an image of Zelensky with the caption: "POV (point of view): You're 38 days from losing your allowance." The "38 days" may reference Dec. 17, the date when U.S. electors meet to cast their votes for president and vice president based on the results of the Nov....

Open borders allow deadly narcotics and criminal gangs to invade our country. But there's a silent killer also making its way across the border: tuberculosis. America's woke public health authorities are more concerned with equity -- redistributing health resources among racial groups -- than with keeping a disease the U.S. once nearly eradicated from becoming a threat again. Reported cases of TB shot up 34% from 2020 to 2023, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and continue to rise. More than three quarters of the cases are foreign-born people who picked up the disease in their home countries...

Why did Trump win the 2024 election? Yesterday I was walking in the city and two young Moroccan guys were discussing the US election outcome. “He did it, the old warrior!” said one of them, admiration obvious in his voice. These were two young Muslims from what Trump had referred to as “shithole countries” during his first tenure…

Is the Synod Undermining the Unity of the Church? In this final phase of the so-called Synod on Synodality, 368 synodal “fathers and mothers” (yes, really!) participated, of whom 272 were bishops and 96 were non-bishops, gathering around round tables in the Paul VI Hall (a bit cringe, to be honest). According to Pope Francis and the Vatican Press Office, the Final Document is to be regarded as having the value of authentic magisterium. On October 26, 2024, the Final Document of the Second Session of the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, held from October 2 to October...

Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club has been brimming in the last 48 hours with two kinds of people: those angling for a job in the president-elect’s incoming administration, and those trying to influence him into hiring their picks for the top spots. But the one person who has loomed over it all and has exerted a great deal of influence is Elon Musk, according to multiple sources. The tech billionaire has been seen at the resort in Palm Beach, Florida, almost every day since Trump won the election last week, dining with him on the patio some evenings and hanging out...

They wanted to eliminate the filibuster to codify Roe, stack the SCOTUS. This is our only time we can play hardball to save the country. .As we saw with President Trump's first term, remain in Mexico policy and reducing regulations were very easily reversed once the Democrats came into power. No matter how much good the POTUS does with immigration and reducing regulations and taxes, if we do not keep winning elections, it's all very temporary and the Dems will get worse and worse after this. So as unpalatable as it is, we have no choice but to ensure we...

...Two fifths of the subs that ventured into the Mediterranean were sunk and when a submarine sank it became a communal coffin - everyone on board died. That was the rule.In fact, during the whole of the war there were only four escapes from stricken British submarines. And the most remarkable of these took place on 6 December 1941, when HMS Perseus plummeted to the seabed...He dragged any stokers who showed signs of life towards the escape hatch and fitted them and himself with Davis Submarine Escape Apparatus, a rubber lung with an oxygen bottle, mouthpiece and goggles. This equipment had...

Projections of the 2024 election show President-elect Donald Trump to have the highest count of the popular vote of any Republican presidential candidate. As of Sunday morning, Donald Trump secured 74.56 million popular votes, surpassing his previous record of 74.22 million from the 2020 election, according to Reuters. Currently, this total places him ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris’ 70.8 million votes. However, a significant number of votes remain uncounted, particularly in California, where only about 75% of votes have been tabulated. Several other states, including Alaska, Arizona, Maryland, Oregon, and Utah, still have outstanding votes to be counted. Approximately...

~ The FReeper Canteen Remembers ~ ~ Veterans Day 2024 ~ Veterans Day gives Americans the opportunity to celebrate the bravery and sacrifice of all U.S. veterans. However, most Americans confuse this holiday with Memorial Day, reports the Department of Veterans Affairs. What's more, some Americans don't know why we commemorate our Veterans on Nov.11. It's imperative that all Americans know the history of Veterans Day so that we can honor our former service members properly. Memorial Day honors service members who died in service to their country or as a result of injuries incurred during battle. Deceased veterans...

The incumbent Republican has a very narrow lead. 49.1 to 48.5. According to Decision Desk most of the Republican Counties are >95% except Cochise which is now at 60%. The blue Pima County is at 92%. I tried to estimate using current vote percentages in those 2 counties and I came to the conclusion that the Republican should win by about 6000 votes. We are only up 2000 now even though total votes in at Cochise went from 51 to 60% in and Pima stayed the same at 92% in (since I did my calculations). I think we were ahead...

Members of Donald Trump's inner circle are signaling the new administration could implement a massive election overhaul that would cement protections Republicans have been demanding since 2020. The biggest change – making Election Day a national holiday where employers are mandated to give their workers paid time off to cast their ballot. Vivek Ramaswamy, a former 2024 Republican candidate now on the short list for an administration position, said making federal elections on a single day would help restore voter confidence in U.S. elections. He also claimed that paper ballots over machines and requirements of government issued ID to match...
