Way different markets. It's like having Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and McDonald's on the same beef list together.
The York (PA) area here had 3 Long John Silvers, all next to 3 KFCs, but they’ve disappeared. Did the chain scale back nationally? Anyone know what might have happened?
All good and well but worthless info for the majority of us.
I used to like Long John Silver’s but the one in my college town shut down.
Can I still find an Arthur Treacher’s?
Who's regulating the Seafood Supply System?
We buy fresh caught cod and cook it ourselves. Cheaper and better for the pocketbook.
There are two things that I don’t eat at a restaurant, one is fish, and the second steak. Fish can be anything they say it is ie cod when it’s probably farm raised tilapia. The thing about high-end steak restaurants are their sides. I can cook a much better steak at home.
I skimmed the article. No thanks. Some of these places apparently use farmed fish.
When I have a fish supper it is usually one that I have prepared using wild-caught American process fish. I do not trust most restaurants to sell me such.
Or Ruth’s Chris and Mr. Steak!
Culver’s has pretty good fish. I think it’s the best thing on thier menu.
Aye aye matey. We don’t want those low class bonefish on the same list as us pirates !
Big als at the Orleans in vegas...
Boomer Alert!.... I recall watching the Arthur Treacher on black & white TV. Arthur was a very tall (6’4”), very dignified gentleman from England. I recall him as the announcer and sidekick to Merv Griffin on Merv’s first talk show.
Great sense of humor.
This is the bee, right? Because all these places are a joke if you’ve ever eaten fresh caught and properly prepared wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Yello fin tuna, salmon, walleye. Etc.
Double Boomer alert! Arthur Treacher played the bobby in the original “Mary Poppins” movie.
Can you even catch Atlantic cod anymore?
