America's woke public health authorities are more concerned with equity -- redistributing health resources among racial groups -- than with keeping a disease the U.S. once nearly eradicated from becoming a threat again.
Reported cases of TB shot up 34% from 2020 to 2023, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and continue to rise. More than three quarters of the cases are foreign-born people who picked up the disease in their home countries or traveling through countries with high TB rates. The TB incidence rate is 60 times higher in Haiti than in the U.S.
In New York City -- the No. 1 destination for migrants -- the incidence of TB is two and a half times the national average and still rising.
A staggering 89% of TB patients in the Big Apple are foreign-born. The Flushing/Clearview areas of Queens, Sunset Park, Brooklyn and the Lower East Side of Manhattan are the neighborhoods most affected. The single largest national group with reported TB cases is from China, according to the city's most recent Annual Tuberculosis Summary.
Immigrants who enter the country legally and apply for green cards are screened for TB with the interferon-gamma release assay test. Latent carriers are allowed into the country and referred to a local health department for follow-up treatment. It's voluntary and hit-or-miss but better than no screening at all.
Migrants flooding across the border illegally or entering with Biden's new parole app get no screening. Zip.
The CDC is MIA about screening and isolating the infected before they bring the disease to cities and towns across the country. The agency is forgetting its "Control and Prevention" mission.

A lot of crazy stuff like that in these foreign countries, like Pakistan... Where they're trying their best to inoculate the population against polio... I know this will irritate the anti-vaxxers... But lots of vaccines work and they work very well. Thus the practical irradiation of polio and TB in North America. People born before and during the 1970s are fine... Those born after that???
If I were you, I'd be considering getting yourself some shots... Just in case.

Sad but true. The scariest part of that election season is how close Kammy got to actually winning! Even with the media carrying so much of her water, she could have become the most powerful woman in the known world!
That’s like buying a pantsuit for AOC and calling her Madame Presidente. I can think of no other candidate from either party besides Trump, who would have kept going after having so many roadblocks thrown in your path. This goes beyond age.
Even a younger politician such as our Pal Ron DeSantis (age 46) would probably have quit long before November came around, or his family would have demanded it.
My doctor who is my age, 62 said he had a younger doctor ask his opinion on a case & it was measles. It had been essentially eradicated in the US but with the influx of illegal aliens, they’re seeing more cases.

And I’ll bet that’s not the only disease either.
It is an indirect bioweapon attack. There are a lot of diseases that we have eradicated over the years, but by allowing illegals in with no health checks, who knows what diseases they are bringing in.
And they locked us down for covid while the illegals came in with no health checks.
When I was working as a transcriptionist in a major Phoenix hospital 15 yrs ago, I kept coming across medical reports of patients with TB. They were always illegal immigrants, and I knew that because I could see their insurance info which was affiliated with a federal emergency medical insurance program. One woman in particular came in monthly and had been admitted to other hospitals for an especially virulent form of TB. She kept leaving against medical advice and refused to take her meds. They had to treat her whenever she presented because of EMTALA, but she was non compliant and selfishly out in the community spreading TB like Typhoid Mary, which infuriated me. This was a problem then so I can only imagine how bad it is now.
I’m not against normal vaccines, but I don’t want anything to do with the mRNA vaccines. I simply don’t trust them because I don’t trust Big Pharma or our govt anymore.
The bass turds in Washington don’t care. As long as they get a new stash of illegal alien voters.
