The NAACP president warned Thursday of possible broader implications of the hate-filled rhetoric reported in more than 20 states from New York to California, and the District of Columbia. Attorneys general of both parties are condemning the messages and vowing to root out their senders. “The unfortunate reality of...

The court filing states that the contact,...

Early reports from Capitol Hill indicated that President-Elect Donald Trump's upcoming second term was already off to a contentious start, with Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi reportedly drafting articles of impeachment against him for his involvement in the 2024 presidential election. "He won, and that's against the law," Pelosi said. "And, quite frankly, he's admitted it. He's admitted to winning the election, but no one is above the law." Though Pelosi no longer serves as Speaker of the House and was unable to cite any specific law or statute Trump had broken by winning the election, she remained determined to follow through...

Alyssa Farah Griffin agreed with Sanders, saying, “The lesson Democrats should take is not, ‘We didn’t run far enough to the left.’ They lost rural voters. They lost working class voters.” She went on to claim that because of economic stresses for the daily lives of voters, they didn’t have the luxury of worrying about the state of democracy. “It was people in the suburbs who were like, ‘I can’t stand Donald Trump’s personality. I don’t like how he talks. But my life was better off economically when he was president.'” Sunny Hostin completely disagreed, continuing her reaction of complete...

Having spectacularly failed to get one woman elected to a top job, the Democratic Party is at odds over whether to push another woman out. ===================================================================== The Democratic Party is secretly fighting over whether to try and force out Justice Sonia Sotomayor to avoid the specter of Donald Trump sending the U.S. Supreme Court further to the right. Senators are reportedly at odds over whether to put pressure on Sotomayor—the first Latina justice—to step down while Democrats still have the power to usher in her replacement. Although she is only 70, Sotomayor suffers from Type 1 diabetes and is the...

As Donald Trump prepares to return to the White House after scoring a spectacular victory in the US presidential election, Iranians wonder what his second term could mean for their country. The results of the "elections are an opportunity to review and revise the wrong approaches of the past," Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said, according to Iranian media. "We have very bitter experiences with the policies and approaches of different US governments in the past," Baghaei said. Relations between the United States and Iran have been extremely tense for nearly four decades. Sources of contemporary tension include Iran's nuclear...

1 Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. 2 For the Lord Most High is awesome, the great King over all the earth. 3 He subdued nations under us, peoples under our feet. 4 He chose our inheritance for us, the pride of Jacob, whom he loved. 5 God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets. 7 For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise. 8 God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne. 9 The...

Democratic insiders are scratching their heads of a shocking flip in traditionally liberal New Jersey. Diverse, suburban Passaic County, which went 74% for Hillary Clinton in 2016, voted for president-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday. The hourglass-shaped region in the northern part of the state is usually true-blue thanks to big down-county cities like Paterson. But the sea of blue dried up on Trump seized a stunning victory with 95,0000 votes to Vice President Kamala Harris’ 89,000.

Famed Iowa pollster Ann Selzer spent decades building her credibility, but as the saying goes, she lost it all in a moment. For those who are lucky enough not to know — because not knowing means your life is not consumed by politics — Selzer has been hailed for years as a gold-standard pollster. Not only among Iowa pollsters, but among all pollsters. Her Des Moines Register poll is treated as something sacred. So… You can only imagine (and even if you watched in real time, it is still hard to imagine it happened) the reaction among Democrats and the...

The election is over. Anyone who has read anything I have written for the last eight years knows that I am appalled by the result. But the people have spoken and a majority of Americans have willingly returned Donald Trump to the presidency. If we go by the book, we’re all supposed to acknowledge the election results and cheerfully commit to fighting the good fight for the next four years while looking forward to better times in 2028. I’m not sure I can do that. It’s tempting to try to what-if this result. For example, what if a ticket featuring...

Donald Trump's election win could see a huge influx of illegal migrants into Canada as they flee the US for a state which previously vowed to welcome them. t. Canadian police and migrant aid groups are bracing for the arrival of asylum-seekers from the US at the same time they are dealing with record numbers of refugee claimants. Some are likening the anticipated surge to a 'worst case scenario' President-elect Trump swept to power this week in part on a promise to enact the largest deportation in American history. Canadian police have been preparing for months, Royal Canadian Mounted Police...
