Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri announced his support for Sen. John Cornyn of Texas on Friday in the race to replace Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell. At this point, this is the first public endorsement for Cornyn.

Cornyn is running to succeed McConnell alongside Republican Sens. Rick Scott of Florida and John Thune of South Dakota.

"I'm backing John Cornyn for majority leader," Hawley said in a statement. "In the last two years, nobody has done more to win back the majority than he has."

I’m from Texas and I like Hawley. But, I do not like Cornyn and there is zero doubt many Texans agree with me. I think it’s doubtful he will be re-elected.

I am from Florida and I WANT Rick Scott. Not because he’s from Florida but because he is not a damned politician, he made his millions in the private business sector. Cornyn is a establishment guy an one of his advisors called Trump a psychopath! RICK SCOTT, and dang is Hawley WTF is wrong with you?

It’s apparently a mandate for Repub Senators to get the submission and deference jab. The same stuff they give to prisoners to chemically emasculate them.

Like kittens in a box, these GOP fellows.

I am a Texan and I agree with you. My view is Texans are low energy on these things and on this guy? You don’t think he’ll be re elected?

That’s not true

Heck Beto came within single digits.

No.

John Cornyn is the Senate equivalent of John Boehner. We'll get crying and hand-wringing about how a conservative agenda can't be passed due to the GOP's "thin majority."

The Senate is a snake pit.

Hawley may not have entered as a snake.

But he got bent.

"Tell your Republican Senator that you want Rick Scott!"

I live in NY State. I only wish I had Republican Senators to call. Last one was Al D'Amato who was defeated by Chucky Schmucky Schumer in 1999.
