The longtime Democratic incumbent lost his bid for a 4th term as Republicans flipped the critical Keystone State
PHILADELPHIA — David McCormick, the Republican former hedge fund CEO, will get a chance to make good on his pledge to shake up Washington after riding a wave of broad Keystone State support for presidential nominee Donald Trump to defeat three-term incumbent Democratic Sen. Bob Casey.
The Republican had picked up 3,339,133 votes to Mr. Casey’s 3,308,214, when the Associated Press called the race for Mr. McCormick shortly after 4 p.m. on Thursday. The race had remained within a margin of fewer than 40,000 votes as late returns came in from Philadelphia precincts and Cambria County.
Because the margin of Mr. McCormick’s win is less than 0.5%, it would trigger an automatic recount under Pennsylvania law — unless Mr. Casey sends the Department of State a letter requesting the recount not happen.
Mr. Casey has not conceded the race. "This race is within half a point and cannot be called while the votes of thousands of Pennsylvanians are still being counted," campaign spokeswoman Maddy McDaniel said. "We will make sure every Pennsylvanian’s voice is heard.”

They’re still counting, and McCormick’s lead keeps increasing.
Fee at last, free at last, thank God almighty Pennsylvania is free of Mr Casey at last.
[Trump should not have put up Dr Oz last time]
"as many times as necessary, until we win......."
Expect 110% turnout, again, in Philly.....
This is very good news for Pennsylvania and for the country.
But it’s bad news for the guys in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia who were supposed to deliver the midnight bags of “specially prepared” ballots.
Maybe they started to hit the wacky tobacky too early in the evening.
Trump didn’t “put up” anyone.
All hits All the time!
HUZZAH!
Casey really was a non-entity the entire time he was in the Senate. His father was governor the last time PA was a swing state and a true pro-Live Democrat (probably the last prominent one). Bobby Jr. rode his name to office but I guess the name lost its value and the state was left with a sub-par senator who they finally got rid of.
Electionresults.pa.gov has McCormick up 0.53%. If it’s more than half a percent an automatic recount isn’t required.
Sorry, incorrect website address. https://www.electionreturns.pa.gov/General/OfficeResults?officeId=2&ElectionID=105&ElectionType=G&IsActive=1
Try to check out the head of Philadelphia’s DNC who tore apart Kamala’s team. They, in turn, attacked him in a very malicious manner.

True that. And if I were forced to pick one, I’d pick Fetterman over Casey. Casey did exactly what the Democrat leadership told him to do. He was a pathetic wooden puppet, and nothing more.
Fetterman will probably vote the party line as well. But at least he’d think about it first.

Let’s hope it stays that way where no recount is required.
Take your time, Pennsylvania. It's comical at this point.
Yep. I’m following it here:

They’ve counted 25% of the remaining votes and McCormick’s lead is still increasing. He’s up by over 35K.
Casey is a narcissistic putz for not conceding.
That is a legitimate concern.
I’m concerned they are counting all the non-Philly counties so they know how many votes they need to manufacture for Philly to give the steal to Casey.
I hope Lara Trump has some lawyers down there watching what is going on.
every senator seat is important
having a small majority gives the stage over to just a couple of Prima Donna senators who love the limelight of being “mavericks” and, basically, screwing up the process
