California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) is poised to become the “leader of the resistance” to President-elect Donald Trump as he finishes his second and final term in office, and sets his sights on a possible presidential run in 2028.That’s the view of Republican strategist Rob Stutzman, a former aide to California’s last Republican governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris. The San Francisco Chronicle reported:“He gets not only a lifeline to his career that was facing a dead end, but he will be able to position himself as the leader of the resistance,” Stutzman said.Harris’ loss means Newsom will...

The elections have consumed so much of our energy as of late. Before we close the door on the 2024 elections, it’s good to consider some wisdom from our founding fathers and other noteworthy Americans on voting. I read a joke recently wherein a surgeon, an engineer, and a politician were arguing as to which one of their professions was the oldest. The surgeon said, “Surely, mine is. Since God did surgery on Adam to produce Eve.”

Don't get me wrong. I am extremely happy about Trump's near universal win but I must interject some thoughts about the future. First of all the margins were good but not overwhelming. Approximately 47% of Americans still Identify with antiamerican democratic values. We can rejoice in the interruption of Americans descent into the abyss. The fight must go on. Trump and the republicans are fallible and will have disputes and occasional missteps. Being an ex government teacher I do believe in the necessity of a loyal opposition. Democrat values are presently an anathema to common sense and decency. In order...

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The Australian government plans to ban teenagers under 16 from using social media, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said on Thursday. That decision was made in the Cabinet on Monday, and that proposal will go to the National Cabinet meeting that I am convening... tomorrow morning," Albanese said. If the proposal is approved, it will be made law and will enter into...

Trump’s election to the Presidency is a breathtaking achievement. So many thought he had too many issues working against him and were certain that the country would not elect a convicted felon or a man who “planned to be a dictator” on his first day in office. But they were wrong. (snip) Given the sound rejection of the Left’s agendas across the country, has the Left learned anything? The answer is a resounding “No!”Even if the Left realized that they had made a huge mistake in not listening to the people, that fact will be irrelevant to them. The radical Left...

It has less sugar and more liquor than semisweet chocolate. However, the two of them may be interchangeable when baking. Recent studies reveal health benefits from eating small quantities of bittersweet chocolate. The addition of almonds increases health benefits as well. Pairing the two of them gives us a delicious and healthy snack. Make them a part of...

General Michael Flynn joined Steve Bannon on Wednesday following President Trump’s massive victory in the 2024 presidential election on Tuesday. Not only did President Trump win reelection, but Republicans also took the US Senate and the US House of Representatives. On Wednesday morning, Steve Bannon invited General Michael Flynn on The War Room to discuss the election results and the important next steps for President-elect Donald Trump. In 2017, General Flynn, President Trump’s former National Security Advisor, spoke with his old friend Steve Bannon, who was President Trump’s Chief Strategist in 2017 when Trump entered the White House. Little did...

One of the most common “presidential” documents in our modern government is an executive order. Every American president has issued at least one, totaling more than (as of this writing) 13,731 since George Washington took office in 1789. Media reports of “changes made by executive order,” or “executive orders to come” rarely explain what the document is, or other technical details, such as why, or how. They seem to be “instant law,” and, at times, steeped in controversy. Over the last few decades this action has been used to overstep the founders efforts to create and/or maintain a democratic form...

BERLIN, Nov 6 (Reuters) - Germany's coalition collapsed on Wednesday as Chancellor Olaf Scholz fired his finance minister and paved the way for a snap election, triggering political chaos in Europe's largest economy hours after Donald Trump won the U.S. presidential election. After dismissing Finance Minister Christian Lindner of the Free Democrats (FDP) party, Scholz is expected to head a minority government with his Social Democrats and the Greens, the second-largest party. Scholz said he would call a confidence motion in his government for Jan. 15, the necessary precursor to holding an election by the end of March. Under rules...

Russian President Vladimir Putin won’t join the chorus of global leaders congratulating Donald Trump on his historic election win, his spokesman stating U.S.-Russian relations are “at their lowest point in history”. Political leaders from across Europe sent letters of congratulations to once and future President Donald Trump on Wednesday, some out of a sense of genuine pleasure and others in a bid at damage control, but the Kremlin says President Vladimir Putin takes no pleasure from the news.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) intends to remain at the helm of the lower chamber and asked his colleagues Wednesday to help him keep his gavel. ”The American people have shown by their votes that they are ready to turn from the misery of the past four years and embark on a brighter, bolder path that is marked not by big government, bureaucratic control, poverty, inflation and wokeness—but by liberty, security, strength, prosperity and opportunity,” the Louisiana Republican wrote in a letter to lawmakers. “I’m ready to take the field with all of you, and I am humbly asking for...

CHICAGO (AP) — For the second year in a row, Earth will almost certainly be the hottest it’s ever been. And for the first time, the globe this year reached more than 1.5 degrees Celsius (2.7 degrees Fahrenheit) of warming compared to the pre-industrial average, the European climate agency Copernicus said Thursday. “It’s this relentless nature of the warming that I think is worrying,” said Carlo Buontempo, director of Copernicus. Buontempo said the data clearly shows the planet would not see such a long sequence of record-breaking temperatures without the constant increase of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere driving global...
