FEMA is officially running out of money, and it couldn’t have come at a worse time. In the wake of Hurricane Helene, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has confirmed that the agency doesn’t have enough funds to make it through the rest of the hurricane season. The situation is dire, and according to Mayorkas, “We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have, but we are expecting another hurricane to hit. FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season.” With Helene having already caused catastrophic damage across multiple states—destroying homes, flooding entire towns,...

I’ve never been one to broadcast my politics outside of people who know me. OK, you could argue that when I was still on Facebook I’d broadcast with extreme prejudice, but anyone reading wasn’t a total stranger. While my parents had bumper stickers for Reagan on their cars and the occasional yard sign, I’ve never wanted to do so. I own a few political shirts, but I use them mainly as undershirts or might wear them to a political themed event. Maybe it’s just been my experience from living in the DC area for so long, but I’ve noticed that...

A judge has thrown out charges of attempted murder against the Arizona college student who nearly killed a classmate in an unprovoked knife attack in front of horrified students. Kaci Sloan was facing multiple charges after launching herself at Mara Daffron, 19, as the pair arrived for class at ASU’s West Valley campus on September 19. The 'bubbly’ student needed emergency surgery for a ruptured spleen and injuries to her chest and arm after Sloan stabbed her twice in a premeditated attack before being hauled off her target by fellow students. Two counts were dismissed at a court hearing on...

A Palestinian terrorist who infamously lynched two Israeli reservists who took a wrong turn in the West Bank more than 20 years ago has been killed in an airstrike in Gaza, Israel’s military said Thursday. Abdel-Aziz Salha, 43, was taken out in a targeted strike in Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip early Thursday, according to the Israel Defense Forces. Salha, a West Bank Hamas militant, had been jailed for life for taking part in the lynching of the two Israeli reservists in Ramallah back in 2000 — but was later released to Gaza in a prisoner swap. -snip-...

Biden-Harris Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has admitted that funding for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will not last through the hurricane season this year. This comes after the DHS diverted over $640 million for "non-citizen migrants," the latest term for illegal immigrants, for shelters in 2023. This diversion of funding was in April 2024, prior to the disaster that struck the Southeast with Hurricane Helene. Mayorkas made the admission to reporters on Wednesday, per the Associated Press. “We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have. We are expecting another hurricane hitting,” Mayorkas...

A South Carolina volunteer firefighter was threatened with arrest after he used his own helicopter to assist with rescue efforts in western North Carolina following Hurricane Helene’s devastating impact on the area. This comes as the Biden-Harris administration's Department of Transportation has set up a no-fly zone for drones in the area, and issued a temporary no-fly zone for private flights. Jordan Seidhom told Queen City News that when he woke up on Saturday, he saw a post on Facebook regarding a family stranded in Banner Elk, North Carolina. After researching the mountains where the family was located on his...

Mushtaha established Hamas's General Security Mechanism along with Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, the IDF reported. The IDF announced the death of Rawhi Mushtaha, head of the Hamas government in the Gaza Strip, on Thursday. "Mushtaha, alongside Yahya Sinwar, established Hamas's General Security Mechanism," the military stated. They served a prison sentence together in an Israeli jail. Mushtaha was considered to be the most senior figure in the Hamas political bureau in the Gaza Strip and, during the war, maintained civil control of the Hamas regime while simultaneously engaging in terrorist activity against Israel. Mushtaha was Sinwar's right-hand man and one...

Hurricane Helene has wrought deadly and destructive havoc across the South and Appalachia, killing dozens and doing billions in property damage. Fast on Helene’s heels, we now have another disaster hitting the U.S.: The longshoreman strike that now threatens to shut down much of the U.S. economy. And very conspicuously, Joe Biden did nothing about it. No jawboning. No ideas. No attempt to cool tempers and bridge differences to get a deal. Apparently Biden’s leaving it to others as he whiles away the remainder of his only term as president at his beloved Rehoboth Beach vacation home. Kind of like...

Unverified video images show a huge fireball and flashes on the horizon. -snip- Khmeimim airbase is located southeast of the city of Latakia and has been operated by the Russian military since 2017. Fact check by Reuters’ Fact Check ‘ [sic] Ocasio-Cortez’s most recent financial disclosure, filed in 2021, shows she had between $3,003 and $45,000 in assets, including her 401k pension plan, and owed at least $15,000 in student debts. It’s hard to believe the great Flood of 1916 that ravaged Western North Carolina took place over 100 years ago. The Flood still lives on in the hearts and minds of Asheville area citizens, and it is still known as ‘the flood to end all floods’. The Asheville Citizen, using a borrowed gasoline engine to run its presses, described the devastation caused by The Flood in its July 17, 1916, edition:“Exacting an unknown toll of death, with a property loss exceeding three million dollars, Asheville today is absolutely isolated from the outside world, is a city of darkness void of...

Those who love our country’s principles of justice — equality of rights, equality under the law, merit and responsibility — must not be taken in when old and precious words are given radically new and pernicious meanings. Such manipulation of language is a hallmark of ideological despotism that aims at the destruction of the capacity of citizens to speak and reason together about the “advantageous and the just,” as Aristotle put it so well more than two millennia ago at the beginning of his Politics. The clear meaning of words must be respected if civic life is to endure in...

I think many of us come here for some fellowship with like minded conservative allies and it makes us happy to see that we are not alone. But, over the years I have noticed something that seems amiss to me, which is the lack of responses to people who have expressed their opinion. Many is the time that I see a comment to which no one has replied; a situation in which no one responds to a Freeper who has expressed an opinion. I think most, if not all of us, would likely enjoy an acknowledgement that people have read...

A “social justice academy” run by a California school district teaches elementary school kids to disavow “whiteness” and embrace transgender ideology, lesson plans shared with The Daily Wire show. Every summer since 2021, the New Haven Unified School District in San Francisco has trained rising 3rd-6th graders in leftist gender and racial politics during its annual “social justice academy.” Specific details about the academy’s curriculum were revealed in documents recently obtained from the school by Parents Defending Education through a public records request. “Scholars will define and critically think about Social Justice, identify social injustices in the community, and create...

Clerks are taking ballots home — with no observers present — to check voters’ registration, document dates of receipt, and verify signatures. On behalf of the Committee on House Administration, Chairman Bryan Steil, R-Wis., is asking Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson to clarify to local clerks that state party-appointed observers, also called challengers, are permitted to monitor the initial stage of mail-in ballot processing, and her office is ignoring the request. In his Sept. 13 letter to Benson following her testimony at the committee’s Sept. 11 hearing on American confidence in elections, Steil asked Benson for clarification because, he wrote, “it...

Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) will appear on the campaign trail with Vice President Kamala Harris in Ripon, Wisconsin, on Thursday. The anti-Trump "Republican" and her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, announced their support for Harris last month. “As a conservative, as someone who believes in and cares about the Constitution, I have thought deeply about this, and because of the danger that Donald Trump poses, not only am I not voting for Donald Trump, but I will be voting for Kamala Harris,” Cheney said during a speech at Duke University. While she’s not an official surrogate, Cheney said...

Progressive “Christianity,” if you want to call it that, is nothing but a fraud—a shameless charade where self-appointed “pastors” like this Emily Bowen-Marler strut about in clerical garb, pretending to speak for a God they openly despise. In this sermon, she says that the Kingdom of God is like a pride fest, like a drag queen reading stories to children. Interestingly enough, that’s exactly how I picture Hell. And how could these parables teach them that maybe they don’t have to be so afraid? The kingdom of God is like pride fest filled with people singing and dancing and explosion...

Happy belated 100th Birthday, President Carter! If I'd remembered, I'd have baked you a cake. But first, an apology. I spent many years beating you up in the press, only to now wish the Democrat Party had one-thousandth of what you brought to public life. But more of that in a moment. From the get-go, I underestimated you. I remember a Democrat friend dragging me to a small gathering with maybe 30 young people in which you gave a short talk about your plan to become president. Your comments would soon go nationwide. All that folksy "I'll never lie to...
